I purchased this same kit for my Stihl weedeater 7 years ago. The only reason I am replacing this now is because the rubber insert for the fuel lines was leaking. For the price and ease of install, I decided to go ahead and put the carb and entire kit on. I just tested the weedeater on a 500ft long bank in front of my house with knee high weeds, the weedeater ran just like new even though it's 20years old. I figure if it runs another 7 years as well as it has the previous 7 years I more than got my monies worth. I try to purchase all my parts from HIPA and so far every purchase has been great. I will definitely purchase from them again.

04/20/2025 I bought my SRM-210 in august of 2007, the last couple of seasons it has been harder and harder to start, I would get it started eventually with a lot of fiddling around, I went down the rabbit hole of changing the spark plug, air cleaner and fuel filter , and that helped a little but I decided that the diaphragms in the carb must’ve been getting brittle so I went searching for a rebuild kit, but stumbled upon this kit for about $10. Swapped the carb and fuel lines, primed it, two pulls on choke and it tried to start then one pull off choke and it started right up. It’s idling a little fast but that’s adjustable.

When I first used the carburetor, after about 20 minutes of running normally the trimmer started sputtering and bogging down when throttle was applied. I couldn’t start the trimmer and ended up putting the original carb back on, which fired up and allowed me to finish trimming. I wasn’t sure what to do. Didn’t want to send it back due to it being soaked in gasoline. I sent a note to the vendor and never heard back. Watched several videos showing how to adjust the high/low settings. Wasn’t having much luck with the high screw adjustment. Would run but then bog at throttle application. So since I’d reinstalled it and the trimmer would run low throttle I used it at low throttle. Periodically I’d give it gas and after some use it quit bogging down and actually started working. So at this point the engine seems to be running normally with the new carb. I didn’t expect to have to mess around so much with it. Kind of annoying and time consuming.

Perfect fit for Echo SRM 211 trimmer. No complaints. As it turned out the issue was a pinched fuel line, but this was still a great replacement with new fuel line, filters, everything you need for a tune up, even had the spark plug not pictured.

As a up and coming small engine mechanic I’ve only really delt with stihl but would like to get into other brands. I didn’t want to spend a lot on a free weedeater and I know oem can be pricey. I highly recommend this to anyone who is wanted to get their equipment running again.

I bought another tune up kit for my Echos GT 200R to fix this annoying leak near the air filter. That didn't do it. I bought this carburetor with an NGK spark plug and I was genuinely surprised that it started in 4 pulls. Engine runs smooth and is ready for the season. Easy to install, took about 5-10 minutes. Didn't need to mess with the throttle cable screw. Fuel no longer leaks.
