    • How much is your time worth? This kit is great!
Worked right out of the box. I was "gifted" a Remington weed trimmer, which had the same issue most of the 2 cycle engines have: user neglect. The carburetor was all gunked up with bad fuel. I tried cleaning it with carb cleaner but in the end decided it was a better use of my time to just buy a new carb. Next day delivery, ten minute install with fresh 40:1 premix fuel and it fired right up. No complaints at all, very complete kit. Only thing not included was a new foam air filter, but just washed out the old one with Dawn, so not needed. Tip: Use premix fuel, drain the tank for the winter and run the engine to get the gas out of the carb and it will start next year. ... show more

    • Look for a product that has the carb adjustment tool if you don't already have one.
The carburetor looks to be an exact match for my craftsman string trimmer. Pros: exact fit, new plug, gaskets, fuel lines and fuel filter. Also an extra primer bulb. Cons: Does NOT Come with an adjustment tool for high/low speed adjustment. Consider a product with the included tool, or purchase a set of you have multiple brands of 2 cycle equipment. Also, the yellow internal gasket ( pictured between to the coil of yellow air line and clear prime bulb, is not thick enough. Looks the same in the picture, but it's too "skinny" for the application. Managed to clean up my existing yellow gasket for reuse. ... show more
