I found that true when I unpacked it but I had a plan. I sleep on a twin size bed and being a side sleeper needed something to take some pressure off an arthritic hip...so...I folded it and made a twin pad. I already had a deep pocket mattress protector on my mattress and the folded pad fit under it perfectly. It relieved some of the pressure on that hip and helped me to not wake up and have to turn over every hour. I am very satisfied with this purchase. If you need a mattress topper with great support this is not for you but it has worked great for me so far. Was packaged well and had no scent like some toppers do. My mattress was hard and had all these weird dips from where the springs had weakened. It was just going to be in my office for me to nap on occasionally or for guests since I moved in with my partner recently. I bought this mattress cover and my bed is so comfy now, the dips in the mattress are hardly noticeable and it gives my bedding a slightly more plush look. I’m not sure why other reviewers said this is flat right out of the package. I let it sit out for a few hours, popped it in the dryer for 20 mins and it’s extremely plush and thick.

I’m not sure why I purchased this. I’m just happy I did. This made my bad softer/thicker than it was. It’s easy to pull on and off to clean/wash.

Not nearly as floofy as I had expected, but definitely effective. My inlaws have an uncomfortable bed for us to sleep on when we visit, so I had to get a little something to help us sleep. This does enough where it transformed the mattress into a bearable place to sleep.
