Not going to lie here but when I took the pillows out of the box, they were extremely vacuum sealed. When I removed them from the plastic, they inflated naturally to their original size. These pillows are a great value, and they fluff up well, but they are not firm. I definitely need two of them at least to hold my head up while laying down. I could probably touch two fingers together through one pillow if I tried. However, they are comfortable when I use more than one.
