If i could leave a Zero or negative review I would! My sons BIG birthday present and it is defective from the box. This wasn't damage done by shipping but rather a quality control issue from the manufacturer. Assembled the bike and everything looked fine, I noticed that several of the bolts already had tool marks on them and scratches, as if maybe this bike was returned already. I'm not sure because all the packaging seemed untouched. Fully assemble the bike and then realize the front brakes are rubbing the rim. OK fine all bikes usually need adjusting. Adjusted it and it never stopped. Long story short and after having multiple people confirm the front wheel rim was BENT! Bent upwards and causing the wheel to not track in a straight line. I have assembled bikes since I could ride and NEVER had a bike with a bent rim from the manufacturer. Took some more time to examine the bike and find the rear wheel also has a slight bend to it. Go to return the bike and find that it has to be fully taken apart and stuffed back in the box for the return to be accepted, thankfully i didn't ruin the box when we took it out. Absolutely a disaster and now my sons big present ruined, was LATE by 2 days as well, but that's on Amazon. This problem here was direct from the factory and shows the company doesn't have ANY type of quality control. Its a shame because it seemed like a nice bike.

This is the third bike of this brand we have purchased over the years. It offers a sturdy construction bike for a reasonable cost. On the whole, I recommend buying the insurance for any large purchase like this in case it doesn't hold up. That said, the metal feels heavy, and it's not a lightweight bike. The tires are thick and ride well with time. I expect the same from this similar model. Let's start with the assembly instructions. This is took about 45 minutes to assemble. The instructions were mostly clear and understandable to the average person without a lot of advanced knowledge on bikes. The cost of the bike is consistent for what bikes cost these days. If you look across stores they all go for the low to mid two hundreds for this brand at the time of this review. Esthetically, this blue color is muted yet bright at the same time. It's a lovely color that will stand out. The rider on this instance is 6'2" and the seat did go up high enough to accommodate. It also can be lowered quite a bit. As far as being road ready from the box, there were some adjustments after the first ride that we are still tweaking. There are directions in the manual for this. Keep the tool that comes with the bike for future adjustments. In addition, a tip is to hide an air tag under the seat. This will help you if you happen to have someone try and steal it.

So, I got this for my child who is outgrowing her current bike. It has the features she needs for the next couple of years and doesn't break the bank. The front suspension fork is nice for the occasional curb hop or uneven sidewalk. The build quality is fairly good overall. There's nothing particularly special about the looks, but it looks like a bike. It arrives mostly assembled like pretty much every other bike I've bought my kids. I was worried I would have to assemble everything including the drivetrain, but that (thankfully) was not the case. There is a great assembly video included on the product page which mirrors the steps I saw exactly. I agree with that video...if you have your own tools, everything is easier. So, one complaint...no quick-connects. The front wheel is bolted on with a wrench, as is the height of the seat post. This means no tool-less seat height adjustments during your ride. It also means you need a wrench if you want to remove the front wheel for putting into a car or for security reasons. It's not a deal-breaker, but I do wish they had included tool-free connections at those two points. Also, this is a "high carbon steel" bike. That's not aluminum. It is heavy for its size as a result. It's a steel bike and I expected it, but don't expect this to feel lightweight like a more expensive aluminum bike might. Overall, I find the construction to be good and it will last through a couple of my kids. But, it's heavy.
