I have been thinking about starting a YouTube channel and needed a way to create some video content. I have been exploring other options, but I wanted to start with this. I like the overall functionality of it, but I am worried as it is a bit lighter weight than I anticipated. I am still thinking of the best way to mount the unit in my fishing kayak. But for the money, it's a good value and is easy to install once I decide where to put it. My phone fits snugly, and I like the ability to get different angles; it seems it will provide that. Build quality is a bit lightweight. I may update this review after using it for a while, but the bottom line is that it is a good product for the price.

Holds my phone perfectly Absolute must-have for kayakers! The 360° adjustability nails the angle for navigation, filming, or fishing apps—even in bright sun. The long arm keeps my phone secure, visible, and out of the way of splashes and paddles. It clamped solidly to my kayak rail through rough water, and my phone didn’t budge. Sturdy, easy install, and works great with my waterproof case. Finally, a mount that handles kayaking abuse!

This phone holder is fantastic! The main thing I love is how secure it keeps my phone. We get some pretty choppy waves sometimes, and I never have to worry about it slipping or falling off, which is a huge relief. The 360-degree rotation is also great – super easy to switch between portrait and landscape, depending if I'm checking the map or just watching the scenery. It fits my 6-inch phone perfectly, and the whole thing feels really sturdy.

This unit is very easy to adjust to the position that provides the best view. The one drawback is that when the length is extended the phone can be a bit difficult to use. As the length of the extension is increased the phone becomes less stationary and can move slightly with each key press. This is not a fault of the devise. The movement is governed by the laws of physics. Once you become accustomed to this movement, it becomes less noticeable. I recommend this item only if you are aware and comfortable with this trait. I suggest you extend the phone only as far as needed. The shorter the extension the more stabile the phone.

It works pretty well to hold a phone but base isn't durable. The picture shows how the rubber grip tore after the second use, it came off entirely after the third. I think it will still work without it, will buy a rubber washer at the hardware store and glue that on if it doesn't. Unlike a kayak fishing rod holder that allows you to rotate the direction once the base is tight in the track, this doesn't rotate independently of the tightening mechanism, you'll have to either tighten it a bit more or loosen it to get it pointed the direction you want.
