I didn't expect much at all, given the price, but I'm really rather pleasantly surprised at all of it. I might like a higher zoom, and to not use so many batteries, but again, for the price, it's a thing of beauty.

Purchased as a Christmas gift for a relative interested in bird watching. She absolutely loved the gift and uses it to watch owls at night, one gripe though is that it cannot see through glass, so if you plan to look at things outside with it, you'll have to open your windows or go out yourself, which can scare away animals if you are looking to take pictures of things in your backyard at night. ... show more

I have previous experience with other consumer level night vision gear and am quite impressed with the quality, features and image. One needs to keep in mind these are binoculars, not goggles. Standard magnification is 3x than they have additional Zoom beyond that. They are not designed for close up work or to use for walking around. They dobabgreat job for viewing wildlife at night which is what I bought them for or any distance viewing. As I said I am impressed and would not hesitate to buy them again.
