I don't need any more colored pencils but I couldn't turn down this set for around $30. It has virtually everything a budding artist needs to get started coloring in books or creating their own artwork. I just swatched the set and I am amazed at the variety of colors in the set. It has 120 unique colors including pastels, fluorescents, metallics, and the elusive purples that are missing in so many sets. It comes in a nice sturdy case along with a number of other art supplies and a coloring book. The pencils seem sturdy. The cores seem to be made of a medium-soft wax that went on smoothly and easily. I didn't have any tips break off when using them. The cores, on my set, are all centered and the barrels are normal-round size so won't require a multi-size sharpener. The colors are clear and vibrant, but I doubt they are light fast so keep your work out of ultraviolet light. That is the only negative thing about this set I have found so far. It is easy to swatch the set as the pencils are in order of the swatch sheet. Each pencil is numbered and the swatch sheet gives the number and the name of the color to make it easy to find the right pencil. The pencils, art equipment, and swatch sheet all fit in the zippered case making this a handy set for artists on the go. The pencils survived the pounding, normally given shipped items, with no breakage. Even the pencil points survived without a problem. I have been buying colored pencil sets since the 1950's and I have to say this is the best buy I've have ever found. If I was still teaching, I'd have all my beginning students buy this set and I'd encourage more advanced students to grab a set for practice work. An artist can never have too many colored pencils

As an artist/mom I was wanting to find a cheaper set of penciles to color with my kids than my prismatic color pencils. I wasn't expecting much from these given the price but I wanted the cute bag and the other extras were not bad. As I filled out the color chart today I was impressed by how light I could color and the minimal effort needed to get bold dark colors. I made this fades with just the pencils no blinder...these are good pencils! I was very impressed 👏 great deal! 👍

Well , this set is a great value for anyone. The pencils are Of good quality I have compared them to my castle set, and they hold their own. I have sharped them and they hold up well. The case is of excellent quality. The inserts detach unlike my castle set easier to work with. The case has a handle and two zippers. You get a small coloring book ,drawing tools and sketchbook.
