The thickness is another big plus, since you can press your mouse slightly into the pad for more control if your skates glide too fast. I've had ARTISAN pads before and this one is no doubt really high-quality. The surface is smooth and constant and gives great control that allows for quick movement, it's especially great for wrist aimers. It's great for FPS games, the stitching is clean and the pad lays perfectly flat and grips the desk very well. The only problem I have with it is that it does pick up dust and hair more easily than my other ARTISAN pad. This pad is also on the pricey side especially for a mouse pad. Overall it is an excellent choice if you really care about the performance and build quality, however you do a premium for the quality.
