After moving to a new apartment, I wanted to keep an eye on things inside my new home. I started my search for a security camera. I wanted something that was small, could operate without being tethered to a dedicated power source, wasn't dependent on a Wi-Fi network, high-resolution sensor with night vision capability, support for microSD memory cards, and it had to be cheap. I figured I would have to compromise on my wish list items, but I was wrong. While browsing through the many security cameras on Amazon, I came across this little gem. It checked all my requirements, and then some. This camera has: - Rechargeable battery for untethered operation when needed - 2K/4K video resolution - Automatic IR night mode - Wi-Fi capability - Motion detection - MicroSD memory card slot - Cloud storage option if needed After using it for the last week, I can state that it is undoubtedly the best security camera I have ever owned. It's very light its small size allows it to be placed almost anywhere in a room. Setup and configuration were a breeze, the battery life is phenomenal, the companion app is easy to use and is actually useful, and the video quality is excellent. Motion detection can be on full time or can be scheduled, and motion sensitivity is adjustable. But the most impressive feature I found is that the camera doesn't light up like a Christmas tree when it is powered up. Every other camera I've used required small pieces of electrical tape to cover all the embedded LEDs that light up the camera like a neon sign. Note that there is no pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) functionality in this camera, so it may work for everyone. After getting permission from management, I bought this to put outside my apartment door because I'm being harassed and bullied by one of my neighbors. It was quick and easy to set it up via the app. The ball and socket joint style base makes it easy to position the camera and the camera is easy to get in and out of the base. I used adhesive to attach it to the top of my door frame and it gives me the perfect view of my doorway and mailbox that's right outside my door. It stays connected to my WiFi just fine. It's a bit bigger than I thought it was going to be, especially when it's on the base, but that's not a big deal for me. The video quality is excellent, even on SD. I can't comment on the night vision because the hallway outside my apartment is well lit. My only complaint about the performance of the camera is that I found that I need to have the PIR on high sensitivity, which takes up more battery life and means I'll have to take it down to recharge it more often. That's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I also like that I can download and save any recordings that I need to. Bought a couple different ones and sent them back, for the price this thing has a very easy app to use, hooks up easily to wifi, good picture and battery lasts way longer than expected. For an inexpensive little thing it does what I wanted for sure.

out of all of my cameras this little one is the best one so far running with out power just on battery and on the lowest settings it will last four weeks and it was very easy to set up to wi-fi and to my phone i have had it for 6 months and only have had to charge it three times the picture is pretty clear and the sound quality is very good to ... show more

Once you get it setup by using the actual camera to scan a bar code from within the app, it works perfectly! Really impressed how long the battery lasts. Only have for a week and its still on 90% which makes it super easy to place it almost anywhere and leave it. I am curious if the live view from your phone when away from home will still function once the free month of cloud storage is over, hope not. Will bump to 5 stars if i can use live view without the cloud storage.
