I found this window film to be heavier than other films I have used. The heft made installation easier because you can remove the lining from the whole window's length and still have control over the film for placement. As with other films, the key to installation is keeping the window wet so the film can slide around to be properly positioned. Once positioned, the excess can be cut away with a razor. This film does a great job cutting the heat and light intensity coming through my east facing window. Well worth the time, effort, and money. Unfortunately, I guess I mis-measured and didn't have enough film for both sides of the sliding window, I was about 8" short, so I left an empty space on one side at the top where the blinds will cover it.

I have a clear glass shower door that has been etched over the years from hard water. I've tried every chemical to clean it, and nothing gets it truly transparent. I used this film to apply to the OUTSIDE of the door where water won't contact it (the opposite of applying it to a house window). It hides the water stains so I never have to squeegee again, or even clean the inside of the glass. Replacing the shower door with a frosted glass unit would have cost hundreds of dollars, this works just as well. Only had to remove the handle and punch 2 holes in the film to reinstall the handle.

I purchased this window film to help with some pretty intense sun exposure in our kitchen and dining areas of our rental. The film was fairly easy to install, just a bit tricky to separate from its backing. Once up, I was surprised at how nice the film actually looks on the window. So far, it's lasted a month with daily sun exposure and hasn't started coming down. Seems great!

I have the nosiest neighbors in the world. They literally put a picnic table directly across from our living room window and would stare in at us. I hate answering the door, but my neighbor would come over and be like “I know you’re in there I saw you through the window, open up!” It just became a lot. Their kids would also be like “we saw you in your house!” Super creepy. I started keeping the curtains and blinds closed but that’s not a good way to live your life, so I bought this product. I can still see outside great through the film but when I go outside it looks like a mirror! They definitely can’t see inside anymore. At nighttime when the sun goes down they can see inside so I have to shut the blinds and curtains, but at least it’s not a 24/7 thing anymore. Another bonus we didn’t even think about was keeping the house cool during the summer! Our AC doesn’t reach upstairs very well so it’s always in the 90’s up there in the summer because there’s a bright window and hardly any insulation in general. We put this film on the window since it faces our neighbor’s house and I swear it has been consistently much cooler upstairs, so much so that it’s livable up there!! This is a great product and I would cover every window in the house with it, no question about it!

Purchased this for some privacy in the bathroom. It is not a film, it is more like windows cling, which actually makes it much easier to work with (you can pull it off and restart as many times as you need to). My husband has installed window film/cling like this many times, and didn't have a hard time putting it on the window - but struggled to remove all of the bubbles. For its purpose, it works. But it's not the most pleasing to look at with all of the bubbling up.
