  • Accurate Enough
I bought this caliper for measuring handgun brass, and reloaded ammunition. Accuracy is better than I expected, but of course not as accurate as a caliper costing a much higher price. The first one I ordered arrived with a cracked dial; however, Amazon’s great customer service quickly took care of my problem. The second caliper came in a nice fitted case. The first one came in a plastic case of poor construction, which may explain why the first one had a cracked dial. All in all, a great product. ... show more

  • Very nice
High quality, well worth the price, I’ve dropped the case many times and the calipers haven’t lost zero at all, functions as well as calipers five times the price

  • Cheap enough that you do not have to baby it.
I have a nice set of Mitutoyo dial calipers. I use them when precision is required. Of course I keep them clean and in a case, so they will last. I wanted something I could use all of the time for layout work, and leave on the bench with just basic care. The first inexpensive calipers I bought (another brand) were rough and nasty to use. I sent them back. These are Okay. Easy to use, and more accurate than a tape measure or steel ruler. I measure parts for printed circuit board layouts, and so far, every part has fit in the finished board. Used it to set the action on a guitar as well. Not much more expensive than the plastic dial calipers. ... show more

  • Great quality for the price
As an actual old time machinist, I didn't want to use my expensive sets for household projects, so ordered this. I have to say, they are quite accurate and durable. Not just a junk tool.

  • Amazing tool!
Excellent! lightweight, precise, requires no batteries. One of the best tools I have purchased.

  • Basic Caliper
Not sure of the accuracy of this but I needed it to transfer measurements so repeatability was more important than absolute accuracy and it seems to be consistent. A bit flimsy but what can you expect at this price and I suspect it is better than the plastic versions. I did not want a digital caliper because I may not use it for extended periods and batteries are the scourge of infrequently used devices. ... show more

  • Well made, worth the price
Very nice for the price, didn't have any issues with shipping like others seem to have had. Writing this review in part to reply to another review asking the function of the third knob (on the side of the dial)- if you loosen this knob you can rotate the dial to set your zero point if your calibration goes off. Hope that helps! ... show more

  • Off by .063 inches
I bought these for my watchmaking hobby. They are almost 2mm (0.063 inches) off. They’re probably fine for applications with less stringent tolerances. Two stars because these calipers state on the dial they are accurate to 0.001 inch (.25mm), but QC was seemingly poor as these are four times less accurate than stated. Buyer beware. ... show more
