I had a Dooney and Burke hand bag in the 1990’s. I Loved that handbag. I bought this bucket bag and noticed the strap was very thick, stiff and wide. I proceeded to wear the bag for a couple of days. I started to have sharp pain in my shoulder. I ended up having to go my MD. He took X-rays and stated the strap more than likely bruised and strained my rotators cuff. I had kept the bag light. The strap did dig into my shoulder. I shouldn’t worn it because of the digging into my shoulder. Little did I know I that digging into my shoulder was injuring my rotator cuff. I would not recommend this bag unless you are muscular and strong shoulders. Seems would seem to me Dooney and Burke could make a shoulder strap that is soft and flexible.like so many other high end designers. I sent an email to Dooney and Burke discussing this shoulder strap. They said they would pass on this information. How difficult can it be to make a soft and flexible shoulder strap. I did return the bag and will not buy from Dooney and Burke ( for my self ) until they soften their straps. Firm straps can cause injury to your rotator cuff of shoulder. This is per my medical Dr that is my general MD. But he also works in Orthopedics. I am still having pain. Wasn’t having pain before using this strap. ... show more
