The HEYSAM straightener is fairly lightweight and does not cause hand or arm fatigue. It heats up quickly, maybe not quite as fast as listed, but I am typically not in that much of hurry that I can't wait a few more seconds. The LCD screen is easy to read. Like most hair tools you will need to hold the power button for 2-3 seconds for the unit to turn on and off. The hot tool has a nice swivel cord and heavy duty cord which is plenty long for my needs. This straightener glides through hair effortlessly and works well as a curling tool and straightener. I used this to first add curls to human hair extensions and later used the tool as a straightener. It is easy to achieve beach waves and tighter spiral curls depending on the amount of hair used at a time. I was able to remove tight spiral curls with one pass using the tool as a straightener. I always use the lowest temperature setting to avoid exposing my hair or extensions to too much heat. The lowest setting on this heat tool is 310 F. I have come to love the wider flat irons and this tool did not disappoint. It works as well as more expensive hair straighteners that I have used. For the price, I don't think you can go wrong.

I’ve been using the same super expensive high end brand flat iron forever. It doesn’t not have an auto shutoff and I recently left it on by accident, which scared my husband. He asked that I replace it with one that had auto shutoff. Back when I bought my last one, it was the only brand that went to 410 degrees. While it got to 410, the heat wasn’t adjustable. What I learned through ordering HEYSAM’s Flat Iron is that you no longer need to spend even close to what I paid before, to get the same or better quality. This flat iron is priced at $32.86 and worth every penny! I love so many things about it. It’s wider than my last, at 1.6” in gives my hair more coverage and makes it quicker to straighten. It can go as high as 450 degree and you can control the temp. It has a digital screen and you watch how fast it heats up. It has a locking feature for when it’s not in use, a swivel cord and is anti-static, made with ceramic tourmaline and has 3D Floating Plate. It’s super high quality, made well and should last a long time! It’s also very versatile like other flat irons - you can flip and curl with it as well. I love how lightweight it is and appreciate that it comes with a nice storage bag. My hair feels soft and looks shiny after using - but I am careful to use a good heat protectant with such high heat. This is an absolutely fantastic flat iron and I highly recommend it!

I'll point out the positive first but there are some discrepancies to the listing, to the box, to the product itself that I'll note in a sec. I love being able to tell the temperature whether it be so you know if it's ready for use or to set it at a temperature that works for your hair type, it's a helpful and awesome feature. It's easily displayed too. The up/down, on/off buttons are easy to press, a surprisingly helpful feature as well. The cord is very long and smooth - probably too long in my opinion but better to be too much than too little. It did come with a velcro strap to keep the cord tidy. I see no tangling in my future. After using it for the second time, it started at the temperature I set it at with my previous use. It seems to take about 1 second to heat up every 10 degrees. It does take a little longer to cool off if you already have it higher and want/need to make it lower but only about 3 seconds for every 10 degrees, no biggie. I did notice though that if you turn it off at that lower temp, then turn it back on right away, it does start at a higher temp (only by about 30 degrees), so it may not be accurate all the time. If temperature is crucial for you, give it time to actually cool if you need that. All of that is to say, it's amazing to have an idea how hot it is, to be able to raise and lower the temp and in a very reasonable amount of time and have it save your setting at your sweet spot after each use. My favorite thing is that the iron didn't tug at or pull out my hair. I feel confident that I can glide through my bangs and even create waves without feeling like it will yank my hair out (something I've dealt with with my previous flat iron). And my hair didn't feel or smell overheated (I set it at 310). The cord can swivel 360 degrees and it has a hanging hook and there's a lock switch to keep in closed for traveling or to keep it tidy so it takes up less space. And now to the negative: So, it says 15-30 sec heating (in the instructions), then 20 sec heating (in the photos), then 30 second heating (in the headline), then 60 second heating (on the box). Which one is it? It's fast enough that it didn't bug me too much but my pet peeve is listing with false info. I did watch the temp go from @100 to 450 impressively fast. The other and much bigger problem for me was that it doesn't go any lower than 310 (or higher than 450). The listing states it goes as low as 170 up to 465. But again, you cannot go lower than 310 or higher than 450, that's a pretty big deal for many of us, especially with finer hair. I personally need it to be closer to 250. It's still a keeper, beneficial to my life and although I wish it did what it said it didn't seem to fry my hair at 310 and didn't make it smell like other flat irons do. I was able to have a pleasant experience and get great results with styling my bangs. Hours later in extreme heat and humidity and they still look freshly styled.
