I was nervous when originally buying this that it wouldn't be able to handle my two cats or that the carpet or scratch material would wind up deteriorating. Three months in and it's holding strong! The basket can support my 20 lb cat and both my cats can jump around on it without fear of the tree tipping (note: it is on hardwood flooring). Definitely worth the money and time assembling!

The kit was well thought out, mostly easy to assemble except for the slant board which needed the hardware to be pounded open a little more. Also, the top pieces were a little confusing to me to get right, but altogether this went up in about 2 hours by myself. My 11 lb. cat, pictured, likes it and used the basket and the top perch regularly. I did attach the stabilizing strap to the wall for safety. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is because I don't know how the material will hold up over time.

This is our 3rd or 4th cat tree and is the sturdiest by far! Not thin like the toilet paper roll ones we’ve had in the past. We have 5 cats and two of them are very hefty. This tree is great for all of them. We often have 3 on it at a time. Also very easy to put together. Love it!

This was marketed "for big cats". It's not. It's too narrow for a big cat to climb safely. The platforms are too shallow making it awkward and unsafe for our big boy. He's afraid of it and we're afraid he'll get hurt if we leave it up for him should he get brave and attempt it. The fabric is very soft but very slippery and unsafe. Tearing it all apart and packing it back up isn't something we're looking forward to. We're trying to figure out how to modify it ourselves so it's usable, but we shouldn't have to make it safe. If you're making trees for cats--if that's your whole business--then you should put some thought and engineering into them. It's perfect for our tiny 6 lb cat, she loves it, but we needed it to accommodate our 16 lb cat and it does not.

Our cats love this cat tree, it's very soft and comfortable. We have a very large cat and it works for him too, which is very hard to find, most cat trees are designed for smaller cats. For the price, it's definitely worth the purchase. Our cats couldn't wait for my husband to put it together as seen in the picture! He loves the hammock on the bottom.
