    • It ain’t broke. Remove battery and reinsert
When you first start using, sometimes you have fully remove battery and reinsert it again. I thought mine was broke but another e bike person showed me this. I was frustrated and thought it was broken, nope! It was fine.

It's sad I didn't get much riding out of it but for the 150 miles I got it was great. Here are things I would like to point out here's the short version PROS: durability, battery life, power, comfort, <personal preference> step thru design,lights, loud and adorable horn, and the controls are easy to reach and use CONS: instructions not clear when putting it together, this thing is HEAVY at 80 pounds, minor concern about tire safety i may have run something over but I popped the rear tire, most shops won't work on these because they are an Amazon sold item and most shops won't work on class 3 bikes, the breaks are very weak due to being cable brakes stopping 80 pounds onto of what you already weigh so you kinda have to start depressing the brakes a little before you get to a light/sign. 1). I could put it together relatively easily despite the manuals vagueness is vagueness a word? I also put a milk crate basket and strapped it to the bike. It stayed 2). The small things worked great. Lights were bright, display worked fine, mode switching worked the way it was supposed to, and the horn was adorable but surprisingly loud. The mechanical parts <folding, derailleur, pedals, chain, etc> worked fine minus an issue following something that was my fault which I will point out later 3). Battery life was great 8 miles too and 8 miles home on 1 charge with an incredibly steep hill. This hill was at least 40° i did step it down to power 2 though. I like caring for my stuff but it also shows that yes the motor is strong 1400 watts strong? God no 750 with a peak of 1000 speaking of power speaking of which the difference between power 3 and 4 is so drastic . 3 is 12 mph and 4 is 18 HUGE gap I would have been fine if power 4 was 15 but eh I got used to it. 4). The durability on this thing oh my god I may have popped the rear tire but still the bike feels great also the walk mode really helped me out when the tire popped. This thi g is heavy. But anyway I take this bike riding heavy bumps and all after the incident I did. So I accidentally hit the bike moving at a decent speed righting the back wheel. The derailleur was never the same but it continued to function. All in all if your saving for a better bike absolutely get this hell if you do want to ride this all the time go for it. I got my worth out of it and I think it has ok to moderate value for money solely due to the brakes and weight. ... show more

The build quality on these is impressive! I bought one for myself and was so happy with it that I immediately ordered another one for my wife. The bonus is that they fold up and I can carry them both in the bed of my truck and close the hard Topper and your bikes are safe!

Assembly instructions for the Ranger 2.0 were scarce. The qr link sent me to a slightly different version. Some of the steps were omitted and had to figure them out myself or going to other youtube installation videos. My bike wouldn't fold until I contacted tech support. On this model you'll need to lift up the bracket that lock the pivot bracket. No where in any videos did it illustrate this. They have since rectified this by posting a video that addresses the issue I brought to their attention. Bike is well built and goes fast (28mph as specified). This model did not include a water bottle holder or any front basket. Customer support did a fantastic job of addressing my concerns. A human picked up when I called, and they were also very responsive with email communications. ... show more

I would not purchase this item or any Heybike again based on my experience. 1) The fine print from Heybike states that it can only be returned within 3 days of receiving the bike. Since many of us are working we can't open and assemble it the day it comes and poof the 3 days are up. 2) The manual is non-existent with a few online photos. 3) The problem of the fork for the handset being loose is barely addressed anywhere. The only mention is don't over tighten the screw in bolt but while searching through Amazon reviews someone had the same problem and said they had to tighten the bolt super hard to work. What is a customer to conclude from this? 4) Videos for this bike show different screw in bolts to secure the fork and others don't. My does not have the screws. 5) My fault but after ordering the bike from my cart I was shown a $200 shipping charge. I should have stopped right there. Also there is a $180 return shipping charge if you can ever manage to get it returned. 6) 5 hours after calling customer support and emailing I called again and was told there would be no reply until 3 days from now on Monday. I should have purchased a decent bike from a local shop or Costco that would fix any problems after 3 days! ... show more

This bike is peeerfect as the young people like to say these days. This is by far the best bang for your buck....just go to the heybike website and compare this heybike to what they sell there. This bike is cheap for the power and build. I cant say enough about customer service. They where awsome!! I bought 2 bikes and one came damaged by shipping. They replaced the part no questons asked. Was at my house within a couple days. I have zero complaints about this bike. I see a few about breaks not working well. Are you using both front and back at the same time? This bike stops on a dime. Or are they adjusted correctly? Loving our heybikes!! ... show more
