I saved a long time to buy e-bikes so I really did my research and finally chose Heybike and ordered two Cityruns. I love that they had orange which is my favorite color so I got that one for me, and a green one for my son. I'm so happy that I went with Heybike. We love our bikes! They look great, handle great, and they are perfect for getting this out-of-shape fifty-something woman up our area's steep hills with the pedal assist, yet still affords me my exercise which is what I really need. Before getting this bike I hadn't been on a bike in literal decades and I am really enjoying riding it. My doctor will be so pleased that I am exercising when I see him later this month! I also love that it is a step through so I can get of and on it easy. And once we figured out that I wasn't getting their emails, and the problem solved, customer service is really top notch which is so refreshing this day and age! Kudos and a big thank you to Heybike!! I would not hesitate to recommend this bike!

I wanted to find an ebike that was comfortable to ride, go fairly long distance and be simple enough for us to use.....and very simple to assemble. We purchased two of these about 6 months ago. We use it to run errands around town and put on the back of our RV so we can avoid a tow vehicle. I found the assembly very easy.....one comment is make sure to tighten the screws around the light and the front wheel cover........but nothing to adjust like gears and rear wheel assembly. They make it easy. Very comfortable to ride and with no center bar it's easy getting on and getting off these. We bought steel locks and rarely use the keys when we park our bikes. Charging is easy, turning on easy and love the brake lights and turn signals. A must have add on is the front basket as well as side mirrors. Since you are going up to 25 MPH it's good to be able to look around a bit. These bikes are designed to be somewhat pedal assist, but I use just power most of the time and still get a long ride in. One other item to watch for is you may need to adjust the disc brakes ever so slightly. Watch the video on how to do this...it literally is a turn of the screwdriver and all is good.

Bike was working fine. After one year the bike stopped working. I wanted to speak with technical support to help determine the problem. No luck. They have this terrible system where you call and they have to email you back. Never got an email. Called back. Went through same process. Got an email but no human. It is a shame because the bike is good. If they would just establish a proper customer support, I would actually recommend them.

The customer service is poor. A piece (forward fender forward end fitting) fell off while under warranty and they ignored my request for a replacement. They have a fake (nonexistent) Spokane address in their owners manual. You only get a 30 warranty if you purchase it from Amazon but you get a year warranty if you purchase it from their website. The warranty is unclear in their owners manual (and when purchasing from Amazon). The chain skips a tooth on the forward sprocket when pedaling hard sometimes (especially on hills). Adequate power for medium hills. Bogs down if grade is much more than about 15%. I’m 6’4” and 200 lbs. At maximum adjustment the seat is too low for someone my size. I need a longer seat post. Still it is a good value (even more now that they lowered the price) and fun for commuting.

We ordered our bikes, a city run, and an explore on Wednesday, and receive them both on Saturday. Packaging, I could not be more impressed with the packaging quality, extreme care is given to make certain that there are no accidents in shipping, and that the contents are extremely well protected. Assembly was very straightforward, note I had watched the YouTube videos before the bikes arrived. The explorer took about 40 minutes to put together and another 20 to fine-tune adjustments. The city run took about an hour as it had a few more parts to assemble. I was missing a couple of small bolts for a fender attachment, but I emailed customer support and the very next day they provided me with the sizes that I could just run down to the store and pick up the parts rather than wait a week or so for them to mail them out to me. Excellent customer service Now onto the ride, friends of ours visited a few months ago with E bikes, and we went for a ride up the hill in our neighborhood we had to walk the bikes up the hill for the last hundred yards or so. Fast forward do yesterday I took both bikes on a ride up the same hill doing over 15 mph with no strain whatsoever, these new bikes are going to be a blast. Can’t wait to put the miles and miles on them.
