Absolutely love these bowls. Attractive, sturdy, nice tight seal. You can actually hear the pressure release when you open. Keeps food fresher for longer. Also has a nice grip on the bottom so that they don’t slide around while mixing ingredients. I am very impressed with the quality.

Word of caution, the boss was not thrilled by my getting these (to replace the plastic bowls we already had). A few weeks ago, she told me how awesome they really are. Yes, they really are awesome. I especially appreciate the volume marks inside them so I know just how much stuff I've put in them.

We had nice stainless steel bowls but they were so heavy we look for a set just as nice and found these after researching quality and the seal lidded for the bowls were very durable and easy storage for small space. The three bowls are the most useful three sizes needed. Large bowl is perfect for my pizza dough to make. We are more than pleased, light weigh but very durable is the ticket. Nice stainless steel bowls that are light weight, stackable and easy to store. They are easy to clean and the 3 piece set provides a good selection of bowl sizes. The rubber base provides stability while you are whisking and stirring. It is convenient to prep and store food in the same bowl. I have made marinades, salsa and salads in these bowls. I like having the air tight lids, but they do require a fair amount of pressure to achieve that air tight seal over the bowl. My only complaint is that sometimes the seal fails leaving the bowl open. This has occurred a few times. It is possible I did not secure the lid properly but I would recommend you always check the lid after it is applied. Overall I find these are good mixing bowls and am satisfied with them. ... show more

    • Don’t fear the seal …
Fast delivery - just received yesterday and the first thing I wanted to try was the seal since concerns were expressed about this in the reviews. I followed the ‘how to seal’ step-by-step instructions on the package insert. While there are more steps than ‘usual’ to create a storage seal, once in place it is absolutely effective. Of course, I don’t know if it will work as effectively after years of use, but it does what it is supposed to do now. I did need to follow the instructions a few times to get the hang of it to form a great seal. It makes a swooshing noise when you release the vacuum seal to open. I also like the weighted base for stability when used with a mixer. And, the heavy overall feel of the stainless steel is quality stuff. Overall, these bowls are worth it - especially if the vacuum feature is important to you. ... show more
