I've heard of the HexClad brand many times, and seen that the pans and other items they offer are amongst some of the most coveted luxury kitchen items. When I saw this beechwood cutting board, I initially thought it would be a beautiful addition to the kitchen. Upon opening the box, I realized that this cutting board is extremely heavy, I mean, like heavier than my toddler. I was surprised by this and then instantly curious as to how I would make this board an effective tool in my kitchen. It ended up being too large for where I store my other cutting boards, so it quickly became a bread board for the counter. I think it truly is absolutely beautiful, the wood is soft and has a nice natural color making it pop in our old timey kitchen. I also think it would be a great board to use for charcuterie, but I do worry about darker or more pigmented foods staining the wood. I didn't see any care instructions for the board itself, I'm assuming this is because it is a high-end brand and adding in that information to the packaging might not look quite as aesthetic, so I'm going to make the assumption that this just needs to be treated with a mineral oil like other wooden cutting boards. I want more information about the product, I personally have tried to turn more towards natural materials in the kitchen and this wooden board definitely fits that idea.

I thought I was going to get a cutting board but what they sent was a table top. This cutting board is so big and heavy. It is 24" wide by 18" tall. Couple those dimensions with an inch and half thickness of solid wood and what is left is an 18lb. (8kg) cutting board. I'm still not sure where to use this cutting board where it doesn't take up most of my counter space. It is a beautiful bit of woodwork. Several lengths of wood glued and laminated together to make one single piece. The logo is branded into the bottom right corner of the face as well as on the top left edge. The wood was a bit dry and untreated when it arrived. After a coat of butcher block oil it really shines and gets a bit of light reflection. It's a well designed and heavy duty cutting board. It is clearly better used in a huge kitchen or on a kitchen island. Definitely good for cooking or grilling outdoors. I'm going to have to wash it outside because it won't fit in my kitchen sink at all. I still like everything about it. 5 stars.

This is a great quality board but it is extremely heavy and very large for a home kitchen. I cook all the time and wanted a large, good quality cutting board however this one barely fit in my sink and I didn’t like how heavy it is. I’ve opted for another hexclad cutting board that is smaller.

Think butcher block countertop. Take that, cut a 24"x18" section and stamp the HexClad logo on it and you get this. It's big, beefy, and heavy. Simple design but looks great. Will it take a beating? Yes. Is a good cutting board? Yes. Is it expensive? Heck yes! Is it worth it? Yes, No, and Maybe. I equate this to Yeti coolers which are great coolers but expensive for what it is. For the price, you would think it's ready out of the box. A little dry for my liking. Take care of you cutting board and treat it with oil. For the price, you definitely don't want to skip this part and oiling it will increase its longevity. Mineral oil is a lot of people's go-to oil, but I prefer butcher block conditioner oil. Not a very portable board. I mean you can but it's so big and heavy that it's not ideal. Also, it isn't ideal for a small kitchen. You need a lot of countertop space. Looks great on a kitchen island; more so if you leave it out there as a decorative piece or even as a "statement".... Again, Yeti type of vibe going on here. Great board, nonetheless. It will do what cutting boards do. Things will get chopped, diced, sliced, and butchered on it. Your food won't taste any better though, but that's not the point of cooking. The point is to look fantastic doing it.

Extra large cutting surface, beautiful wood. Easy to clean but may be a challenge to store if you don't have the room to leave it out permanently. A wonderful addition to my kitchen and a good value for the money.

This product is an extra large beechwood cutting board. The wood is great quality, and it seems well-constructed. It is very large and heavy, so make sure you have room for it on your counter. The cutting board did not come with any care instructions, so I had to look them up online. To keep it in good condition, you're going to want to treat it with mineral oil and a finishing wax - so you should plan to invest in those along with this product.
