Smooth action, very sharp and easy to use. Love them. The lock works great, but being a leftie, I sometimes engage the lock while pruning. It happens with all the shears I have had, probably because the locks are always on the left side. I suspect righties don't have this issue.

Takes a little bit to get used to the ratchet, I never used one before. But it works well, no problem with unlocking or locking the button. It’s lightweight and cuts well.

Purchased a pair almost two years ago and loved them so much that I decided to get a second pair. The first pair started to dull from cutting small limbs that are probably too large in diameter (1" plus), and I am tough on my garden tools. Unless I am paying over $40 for shears, I rarely bother to sharpen them- yes, I know it is easy to do. Nevertheless, the first pair is still going strong! Pros: Ergonomic- swivel grip, sharp/durable, easy to use, easy to lock. Cons: None! It doesn't hurt to have a few pairs of pruning shears, especially when you have almost an acre of landscape and gardens to play in. I've had numerous pairs of pruning shears over the years and these are the best. NOTE: Reading some of the negative reviews are showing photos or describe different pruners than these. Gonicc does make a ratcheting pruning shear (that cannot compare to these) that is shown is some of the photos. I have noticed this issue on many other product that have reviews in the thousands. ... show more

Style: Ratchet Anvil Pruning Shears
This is my 2nd purchase of this clipper. I misplaced the first one. It is easy to use and doesn't cause my hand to cramp as the non ratcheting clippers tend to do. I use these clippers for most everything in the yard, and have used them for several years.

I love the ratchet capability of this pruner, but it is not as solid as several other pruners I own. Given the ratchet capability it would seem important to make it more solid. On larger branches I cut, it felt as if the blades were separating a little, instead of staying firmly together. It didn't break but just doesn't give me confidence to move as quickly as I do with other pruners. That said, I'll still use it, but cautiously. ... show more
