After going thru many griddle pans over our lifetime, we ordered the HexClad 12 inch griddle pan in hopes it would be our last. We were not disappointed, and this will be the last griddle pan we will ever have to purchase. We have an induction stove, so it was an absolute necessity the griddle pan worked with induction. This griddle pan EXCEEDED our expectations. It was received in absolutely perfect condition. Even the packaging was impressive. We followed the directions to prepare the pan for its first use, and that is a very important step, so don't skip it. This griddle pan heats quickly and evenly, and nothing sticks to it, making clean up a breeze. If I tried to take this pan from my wife, she would beat me with it first. The quality, finish, warranty, and performance of this griddle pan is amazing to say the least. In the future, if we have to purchase other cookware, we will purchase it from HexClad. I have never used/had a hex clad pan. This one was to replace a flat style all clad that I had. I really like this pan....I was actually looking for a square one, but I think this round one fits the bill. It is slightly domed in the middle. That's fine for me as I use it for mostly "dry" things anyway (sandwiches, tortillas, toasting bread, etc...). Lightweight, non stick, cleans up beautifully and heats up even. This is not the best product from Hexclad. I read reviews that this wasn't completely flat, and it wasn't truly non-stick, etc. It is non-stick as long as you season and maintain it, per manufacturer's instructions, just like their frying pans and pots. However, this griddle is not completely flat. Pour oil in the middle and it runs for the valleys around the periphery. The craftsmanship on this griddle could be better, although other Hexclad frying pans I use are top notch. Is the griddle usable? Yeah, I've been using a brush to spread the oil around, instead of pouring it and letting it run. That's a minor inconvenience but I'm okay with it now. I did correspond with Hexclad customer service and they were understanding about the issue and resolved it through a refund. Gotta love a company that treats its customers like royalty. I'm excited to expand my Hexclad collection this Black Friday. ... show more

I 'really' wanted to like product. I've been on the search for a good griddle, but alas, my search is not over. Let's start with its positives: Even heat distribution. Now let's finish with the negatives: 1. I have no idea who thinks a griddle that isn't flat is a good idea. It is a GRIDDLE, meant to have a large flat surface area. The bulge in the middle means everything from the lubricating oil (yes, you need it - the non-stick is a joke) to your eggs and pancakes will run to the sides of the pan. (See pic). 2. It sheds aluminum no matter how many times you wash it, and I have no desire to eat toxic aluminum powder. I followed the instructions, but even after washing 4 times, it still had aluminum powder shedding off of it. (see pic). 3. It is NOT non-stick. Yes, I followed the directions, seasoned it, etc. Three times actually before I cooked with it. I pre-heated it. It still sticks. (See picture). 0/10 cannot recommend. ... show more
