My biggest complaint is the thickness of the neck, I was remembering my old fender 5 string jazz I used to own and this neck is much beefier. The neck also needed to be adjusted out of the box but that’s not a surprise at this price AND they give you the Allen key to do it with making it really simple. That’s not a “bad” thing, it just feels like a 5 string p bass. Mine came with a small issue with fret 20 on the g string where it was too high but the seller was more than helpful with everything. The tuners are good enough that once the strings finish stretching they hold the tune well so far. I also have a 6 string “GIB” bass from this seller that I also LOVE ... show more

    • Poor quality assembly.
The bass(Glarry Gjazz)is not a very playable instrument out of the box.It needs a lot of adjustment.The frets had to leveled and crowned and the ends filed. I changed the pots and that required some wood removal in the cavityThe bridge is not wide enough for the pickup string spacing. I have a new bridge ordered.After all these things it is a lot better. ... show more

For an entry level bass this is very doable, that being said the description says a basswood body. This IS NOT basswood. Its very lightweight dark in color and heavy grain structure. Basswood does not have define grain and its light in color. This is very much Paulownia wood, very soft. So it gets a low for the simple fact its not the wood they claim it to be in the description. Also the string alignment is off to the tuner machines. String tree comes in contact with the G string tuning machine. ... show more

The bass is beautiful in appearance and craftsmanship with high gloss finish. The body wood needs to be heavier to eliminate neck dive.
