The media could not be loaded. The battlebots were fun but the drum didn't work well and the battery panel on the blue one was very loose. Overall I put 4 stara.

I bought this for my 11 year old Grandson, he absolutely loves it. He like to change up the weapons and battle. It is very easy to assemble and so far durable. It was a great birthday gift!

    • Controllers have issues staying connected and interfere with signal from other robot

Overall this could be a fun little gadget and my son was very excited about it however, two major flaws have caused him to lose interest. The controllers have major signal issues. From disconnecting to interfering with the signal of the other bot. They also will have intermittent issues which makes controlling the bots frustrating. The signal frequencies of the transmitters are too close and the antennas are too weak. The other issue is the way the parts connect. The magnets on the side part that cover the wheels are so weak they fall off when activating the bots weapons. The accessories have such stiff connectors we have to help our son to remove and change parts. It seems like the accessory tabs will break easily over time which will render them useless. ... show more

So, I introduced my family to the BattleBots TV show early last December, and they absolutely love it. I purchased this game/toy for our 3 kids for Christmas, and the drive nut on the blue bot quit after 10 minutes of use. None of the active weapons would work on it. I returned it for a new one, and within 5 minutes of setting the new one up the drive nut on the blue bot quit again. We are keeping it because my 3 and 6 year olds love it, but I am less than pleased with the quality. For something designed to bash into each other, and having spent $100, you would think that these things would be a LOT more durable than 5 or 10 minutes worth of use, but apparently not. I strongly recommend that you save your $100, or more wisely spend it on some other toy(s) for your kids. Maybe a whole bunch of Hot Wheels that they can play demolition derby with by hand? With a whole lot of effort, and a 5lb sledge, you MIGHT be able to break a Hot Wheel... PS: I have been purchasing things from Amazon since way back when they only sold books in the '90s, and this is the FIRST review that I have written in over two decades of purchases.
