I wanted a super bright light setup for my workshop as I do not like having shadows on items I’m working on. These lights work great for that, no chance for shadows! These were easy enough to assemble and install. Extremely lightweight and look awesome! The connectors are a little finicky as there is a first indentation that the clip gets stuck on when putting them together (it holds a plastic cap over the ends) but I found as long as I moved it forward fairly quickly and firmly, I didn’t have an issue getting past them. It’s when I would go slowly it would get stuck. Once you get past that, no problem! For mine, I was working with open floor joists with a 16” spacing so the hex lights in the center met right at each joist making it super easy to screw them in on the connectors.

I'm glad I read some of other reviews so I had a bit of caution putting together the plastic fittings. The good news is they are pretty robust, not a "brittle" plastic that will chip and snap. Just move slowly during assembly, and use a finger or small flat tool when sliding over the first bump the snap feature catches on. I was able to assembly 3 sections, 1 full hexagon, 1 5 sided, and the remainder to install on the ceiling. That allowed me to measure out to center the ~38" < to > and 32.5" | to | dimensions. The corner brackets all have a small hole in them, that you can use to screw directly into the ceiling for initial placement. It's actually pretty secure like that, but since overhead better to use anchors with or without the metal clips. Color is on the blue-white part of the spectrum, but still looks pleasing. It completely addressed a workbench that was always a bit in the shadow. Worked out perfectly as that room already has some hexagon theming!

I’ve been wanting to try hex lighting for some time for my garage. The instructions are fairly sparse and quite peculiar. It looks like the cat stepped in the keyboard when writing them!! Nonetheless it wasn’t to difficult to figure out the assembly. The one triple connector is used to connect to power either using standard two prong plug or hardwire option. The body of the light is aluminum with the plastic opaque light diffuser. Puts off really a good amount of light.

Everyone knows these look neat but after putting them up I'm a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong; they provide a good amount of light and look nice but I just expect something a little more for an $80 product. Putting them together and installing is a little fiddly. You need to depress the clip on each connector by pressing the light segment on it just enough but not so much that the plastic on the light itself bends and prevents it from getting in the connector. Then there's inexplicably another detent that the clip falls into and you have to push past all the while assuming somethings about to break. Once you get used to the process you realize there is no way the plastic connectors will hold up to the weight of the whole thing when installing one end to the other. You need either two people up on ladders or do what I did and install it in pieces. 1st build two hexagons then a single angle for the middle, mount it, carefully attach one hex to it and mount that, duplicate for the other side, then finally the last angle. Once up it does look good even if the power connection is a slightly sketchy cord that pushes into the same connectors that hole the segments together. Something I was surprised to find was how these things are close to two inches thick and I can't imagine why. It's just some $20 LED strip in channels and seems like mostly what you're paying for is the connectors that make it look cleaner. No reason it has to be any more than 3/4" to an inch. Again, if you didn't go through installing it and just walk into a garage where it's already up you're going to admire it and the light it puts out. I just expect the product to be a little more robust and go up a little easier.
