I have not yet used it outside, in rainy or windy conditions, so I cannot speak to those conditions. The size is just what I was looking for: something larger than the single person backpacking tent that I have used for the past 20 years. This tent will definitely give me more room and make changing clothes much easier, yet it is still small enough to fit under the wing of my plane. It is super easy to set up and take down once you get the hang of how it works. While its weight of 10 to 11 lbs makes it too heave for backpacking, it is still light enough for easy transport. The flooring seems to be a bit thin, possibly putting it at risk of being punctured by rocks or sticks, so I intend to use a plastic ground cloth (probably double thickness) to protect the floor of the tent. I hope it lasts a long as my previous tent, which after a number of years developed leaks at the seams, which were resealed more than once. The extra roominess will add to my overall comfort, but at the same time, it might make it more difficult to stay warm in cold weather. I look forward to seeing how it handles windy conditions being it has a higher profile than my previous tent. At this point I lean toward it being a good value for the money, but only time and use in a variety of weather conditions will witness to the quality of the tent and the claim of its being waterproof. ... show more

I've had this tent for several months now and have used it several times in different weather conditions. I have to say that it has performed quite well, even in a heavy downpour it did not leak. The ventilation is great being able to open both sides of the tent, and setup is very quick and easy. There is a slight learning curve the first time or two I set it up, but after that, it was very quick and easy to get set up. During one Texas storm, the wind was quite strong, however withit guyed out to the ground, it was very stable and that was no rain leakage anywhere. This is a great tent, however I will say there is no way you are going to get four adults into it without being very cramped. However for two to maybe three people it is a great tent.     • Easy one-person assembly!
I've been out with the tent just once. There was no rain so I cannot evaluate the water resistance. I'll update later. I sometimes car camp alone in these days of social-distancing. I needed to find a tent that I could set up quickly and easily all by myself. This one really does set up in 5 minutes after you get the hang out it. (Definitely watch the video here to see that you need to pull down the assembly to lock the poles into place.) Just spread the tent down, pop it open, and anchor it with stakes. 5 minutes, done! The tent has very good ventilation with the floor vents and top vent. There wasn't a bit of condensation on the tent the next morning. You do need to be clear about the size. This is not a big room sized cabin tent. Since it has a round shape, it's longest near the center. I am about 6 feet tall and needed to sleep towards the middle. There would be room in this tent for 2 persons with some gear stashed at the sides. Maybe 2 persons plus a dog or small child will be fine. You won't be able to stand up in this tent. I was able to stand stooped over, which allowed me to stand to dress. Definitely it's a place to sleep and not a place to hang out for hours. But who wants to waste a camping trip in the tent anyway? The weight and size of the tent are compact enough to carry a short distance to the walk-in site but definitely is not made for backpacking. There are only two drawbacks to the tent. These are fairly minor. First, the floor materials seems thin. I'd definitely use a footprint to protect it. Also, the zipper doors are kind of odd. The panels zip down from the top and is attached to the floor. There's no way to slip in from the side. You need to zip the panels down on both sides and then tuck it out of the way to get in our out. This tent does a great job in its niche. It's not a big cabin tent. It's not a backpacking tent. But if you want a fairly light and compact tent for car camping, and there are no more than 2 adults, and you want something simple and fast to set up, this one is worthy of consideration. ... show more

This tent is perfect! I use it as a 1 person tent with a tall fold out cot when I take my older troop scout on campouts. I am 5ft and cant stand fully up but can easily stretch out which to me is way more important. Since I am not sharing I have a ton of storage space. It is super easy to set up and take down alone so I can help the other scouts if needed. Its just what I needed! ... show more

I got this tent to go camping with my boyfriend over the summer. The tent is great and can be set up in a matter of just a couple of minutes. Although it is smaller, we fit an 18" full size blow-up mattress inside that left just enough space on either side of the bed to put our belongings. Although the mattress was taller than a regular blow-up mattress, we were still able to sit up comfortably with no issues. Luckily it didn't rain at all during our camping trip so I can't really speak on it being waterproof, but it seems like it would hold up just fine.
