I have not yet used it outside, in rainy or windy conditions, so I cannot speak to those conditions. The size is just what I was looking for: something larger than the single person backpacking tent that I have used for the past 20 years. This tent will definitely give me more room and make changing clothes much easier, yet it is still small enough to fit under the wing of my plane. It is super easy to set up and take down once you get the hang of how it works. While its weight of 10 to 11 lbs makes it too heave for backpacking, it is still light enough for easy transport. The flooring seems to be a bit thin, possibly putting it at risk of being punctured by rocks or sticks, so I intend to use a plastic ground cloth (probably double thickness) to protect the floor of the tent. I hope it lasts a long as my previous tent, which after a number of years developed leaks at the seams, which were resealed more than once. The extra roominess will add to my overall comfort, but at the same time, it might make it more difficult to stay warm in cold weather. I look forward to seeing how it handles windy conditions being it has a higher profile than my previous tent. At this point I lean toward it being a good value for the money, but only time and use in a variety of weather conditions will witness to the quality of the tent and the claim of its being waterproof. ... show more

I've had this tent for several months now and have used it several times in different weather conditions. I have to say that it has performed quite well, even in a heavy downpour it did not leak. The ventilation is great being able to open both sides of the tent, and setup is very quick and easy. There is a slight learning curve the first time or two I set it up, but after that, it was very quick and easy to get set up. During one Texas storm, the wind was quite strong, however withit guyed out to the ground, it was very stable and that was no rain leakage anywhere. This is a great tent, however I will say there is no way you are going to get four adults into it without being very cramped. However for two to maybe three people it is a great tent.     • I've owned this for a while now
*I've never used it as an actual tent* I bought this specifically for its "sun shade" feature, for the beach! I also use the sun shade feature of this tent, as a "pantry" for when we go camping. I've used this about 10 times now, so here's my honest opinion. This thing is ridiculously fast & easy to set up! My Hewolf has been through multiple rain showers, wind, and rough use (we haven't been delicate with this thing) My 2 friends & I just used it 3 days in a row, at hampton beach - we fit 2 chairs, our wagon, all our stuff, & ourselves in that sun shade - even tho we tore a bit of a side panel (the first day), we were still able to set it up & use it again, & again! This provides excellent shade, protection from the wind, and privacy! I use to bring a full canopy to the beach, lugging it, set up, and sand ruining the frame made me search for something else. This is EXACTLY what I was searching for!! My only criticisms about this, is that the joints WILL wear away at the tent itself, overtime. When folding it away, the joints rub against the liner a bit, I have small holes and wear marks all around the top of my tent. Its also not the easiest thing to collapse.. I've found that popping 1 or 2 poles off the tent frame releases enough tension to allow a much easier collapse! (These are thee ONLY reason I'm not giving it 5 stars) I do love this thing so much, that I've when & purchased a second one, (for when my finally falls apart) and let me tell you why! I always bring a wagon to the beach, its SO easy to just roll it right in, no worry about sand "getting in the tent" You have the piece of mind to zip your things away into the tent This is a game changer for beach naps! Using this as a sun shade allows great airflow! Passing shower at the beach? Everything stays covered & dry! Honestly, this product made my life easier - definitely recommend purchasing! ... show more

I’m very disappointed with this product, at first I was excited and I sang my praises about it the first couple of times I took it out to camp. It was the perfect size and honestly the biggest appeal was the fact that I could set up my tent and break it down with little effort. The pop up design is a good idea. The problem with this tent is the joints that you have to manually fold out, there is no release for them once they are locked in and to break the tent down you have to use some kind of force to fold it back up. Second time out camping and was breaking the tent down to leave and the pole snapped right at the base of the joint. All around the design on the joints was not well thought out, if they were looking to make sure they were locked in tight they should have built in a release so less force had to be applied to the poles and maybe this tent would have lasted longer. Not worth the $100 to only use twice 🙁 ******Updated Review******* After writing my original review I was contacted by the company and they offered me a replacement along with extra instructions with tips on how to easily pack up the tent once you are done using it. The shipping for the replacement was extremely fast, it came within days of contacting the seller. It’s still easy to set up and it’s super lightweight and easy to fit in a car and easy for one to carry and set up alone. ... show more

This tent is perfect! I use it as a 1 person tent with a tall fold out cot when I take my older troop scout on campouts. I am 5ft and cant stand fully up but can easily stretch out which to me is way more important. Since I am not sharing I have a ton of storage space. It is super easy to set up and take down alone so I can help the other scouts if needed. Its just what I needed! ... show more

I got this tent to go camping with my boyfriend over the summer. The tent is great and can be set up in a matter of just a couple of minutes. Although it is smaller, we fit an 18" full size blow-up mattress inside that left just enough space on either side of the bed to put our belongings. Although the mattress was taller than a regular blow-up mattress, we were still able to sit up comfortably with no issues. Luckily it didn't rain at all during our camping trip so I can't really speak on it being waterproof, but it seems like it would hold up just fine. I've used a tent before, this tent, though didn't work well. There isn't a lot of explanation to this tent that explains the locking mechanism on top. For me, it didn't stay snapped and I had to find a way to keep that mechanism engaged. The outer poles only stay locked when they have the right tension on them, which doesn't happen if the top locking part won't lock right. This was unusually difficult to fold because of those styles of poles....it shouldn't have been, but it actually was. I waited too long to find this out, so I can't get a refund. The idea is interesting, but in practice, this tent didn't work. And it's not something you can easily work around either. ... show more

The tent itself is great for easy setup and take down. It stays dry inside during hard rains and stands up to fairly strong winds. My issue is the zippers on the outer flaps. I was hit with a strong unexpected rain storm and tried to seek shelter in the tent. The zipper snagged the weather seam and was hopelessly stuck. I ran to the other side and the same thing happened. I was completely soaked and so was some of my gear as the flaps were both jammed at the midway position. Tried fixing it the next morning and the zipper completely broke and tore of a section of the rain seam. I had to duct tape it to get through the next rainy night. ... show more
