Easy does it
I barely ever write reviews, but I felt like this one was worth it. I’ve had this tent for about four years and have probably used it around eight times. Honestly, this thing is amazing. It takes me maybe three minutes to pop it up, another three minutes to take it down. Instead of spending 30 minutes to an hour setting up a traditional tent, this one literally takes just a couple of minutes. It has always done exactly what I needed it to do, and I’ve had zero issues with the quality. For the money, it’s absolutely worth it. Like I said, I rarely write reviews, but this tent deserved one. I have not yet used it outside, in rainy or windy conditions, so I cannot speak to those conditions. The size is just what I was looking for: something larger than the single person backpacking tent that I have used for the past 20 years. This tent will definitely give me more room and make changing clothes much easier, yet it is still small enough to fit under the wing of my plane. It is super easy to set up and take down once you get the hang of how it works. While its weight of 10 to 11 lbs makes it too heave for backpacking, it is still light enough for easy transport. The flooring seems to be a bit thin, possibly putting it at risk of being punctured by rocks or sticks, so I intend to use a plastic ground cloth (probably double thickness) to protect the floor of the tent. I hope it lasts a long as my previous tent, which after a number of years developed leaks at the seams, which were resealed more than once. The extra roominess will add to my overall comfort, but at the same time, it might make it more difficult to stay warm in cold weather. I look forward to seeing how it handles windy conditions being it has a higher profile than my previous tent. At this point I lean toward it being a good value for the money, but only time and use in a variety of weather conditions will witness to the quality of the tent and the claim of its being waterproof. ... show more

The reviews are not wrong about this tent. Pros The setup for this lightweight tent was under a minute without even reading the instructions. The ventilation is excellent, and the light materials do a great job of keeping the interior cool. Have I mentioned that the tent is not heavy? Yes, the tent is light weight. After taking down the tent, packing it up was a breeze. Instead of the usual wrestling match with the tent, this one folded down perfectly and slid right in the provided bag. The best part, one person can set this up! Cons While the tent is lightweight, the material feels a bit fragile and prone to ripping or breaking. I highly recommend using canvas drop cloth on the ground, to protect the tent’s base from damage. Let’s remember children are also people. For capacity, the tent is rated for up to four people. Which means that realistically it fits two adults and two small children. Taking the tent down is generally easy, but you need to be cautious when folding the base poles. The folding snap clips are stiff and difficult to snap close; it feels like the wrong amount of force could easily break them or the pole, so definitely read the instructions for this part. My first attempt to pack it down took about 7 minutes. Finally, like other reviewers say, this tent does not retain heat—if you're looking for warmth, stay away from this one. My final verdict: Overall, I like this tent. Tents can be incredibly expensive nowadays—especially this specific style—but for the price, you get exactly what you pay for (Nothing more, nothing less). I was looking for a tent that could keep cool at night, and that a single person could set up quickly at night, and take down fast; this tent delivered exactly that. Easy to Set Up and Spacious

Save your money.

First of all, you might get three people in there if there were like 4 ft tall. I'm 6 ft. I had only enough floor room for my sleeping bag and my head touched one end of the tent. My feet touched the other. Second of all the fly is a joke. It's about the size of an extra large pizza. The windows are useless. If there's any kind of precipitation cuz of the way they're designed, the rain comes right into this so-called tent, the two door openings are terrible design. You unzip them and all the water that's on the outside is now on your sleeping bag. I am so completely disappointed with this tent and if anybody buys this tent, I told you so. Save your money. This is a total piece of crap. I would send it back but it's such a pain in the butt and Amazon ought to do better to protect great customers like myself and you all out there. ... show more

Could use better door design.

Easy setup, easy takedown. Spacious. It's definitely not made for cold weather. The door design could be better. Any breeze will lift the door flaps. I don't like how the door mesh and the door privacy flaps are separate, completely separate. And the privacy flaps lack any way of securing the bottom - no velcro, no zipper. If you close only the privacy flaps but not the mesh also, crawlies can get in at the bottom of the door. If you close just the mesh, there is no privacy. Close both, then you're inconvenienced when you need to get in or out. You have two sets of zippers to get through. When closed, any breeze will come right through the bottom of the privacy flap. ... show more

This tent is awesome. From the ease of use and the pack ability I could ask for anything better. It packs down pretty small making it easy to move around and provides a lot of room when put up. The windows provide for than enough ventilation to not make it stuffy and from what I can tell it doesn’t leak at all. Love the tent and would highly recommend it to anyone. ... show more
