Description

The Hertz MLK 1650.3 Legend car audio speakers system is a two way kit dedicated to purists , aiming at achieving maximum timbre consistency combined with very high dynamics and extremely extended frequency response. Through a solidly built switch, the MLCX 2 TW.3 crossover provides the ability to realize a bi-amplified system, that is, to connect two amplifiers, or anyway two separate channels, to the crossover, so making it possible to drive woofer and tweeter separately. The significant power increase with this configuration highlights all the features of the MLK 1650.3 Legend system, with all the advantages coming from the multi-amplification. Besides, thanks to the Mid- Contour and Hi-Countor controls, dedicated to the management of woofer cut-off frequency and tweeter cut-off frequency respectively, the cross-point can be varied. Through each of these two “Countor” controls, featuring a two-position selector, the system frequency response can be fine-tuned, adjusting it according to the different acoustics of the cars and the different speaker placements and, most of all, the listener can achieve thieir favourite sound. Features - Tetolon Fiber dome optimized with FEA simulations for lower distortion and improved dispersion in high frequency range. Exponential V-cone with optimized geometry for utmost linearity and dispersion at mid frequency range. Bi-amplification available, selectable through appropriate hi-current rating switch with hi-current carrying capability. These speakers are hands down the best set i've ever heard. I've had JL audio C2's and C3's, Herts high energy XL and currently running hertz high energy in rear. I've heard audition voce 5.1k and none of these speakers are in the same class. I replaced the high energy XL with the mille and are much better all around. The mille's definitely sound better at higher volumes then any other speaker I've heard. There is no debate about that. They are clearer at higher volumes and the mid bass does not distort when cranked way up. The craftsmenship on this set is absolutely beautiful and top notch. If you can afford them then you won't be disappointed. Setup is as follows: 2016 jeep wrangler JKU rubicon Audison voce 5.1K amp Alpine Restyle Stereo Hertz mille legend 1650.3 front Hertz high energy rear mille legend 2500.3 sub X2 sealed box to spec audition sub controller I originally had an audition bit ten processor however didnt like the sound vs high end RCA cables straight to the amp from the head unit. I got better sound, more control and more accurate sub control this way. bit ten is overrated IMO. I'm very happy with my system setup however cost a lot and took many months to setup and dial in.     • Amazing sound. Almost no distortion at higher levels.
Not for everyone. Very expensive but very clear, clean and loud. I've had alot of components over the years but I went out on a limb for these and I couldnt be more happy. Pair these with a set of jl 12w6s in my trunk and the balance of the voices and the base couldnt be better. Highly recommend if you can afford to upgrade. ... show more
