So, I had been searching high and low for a flat iron that heats above 450 and none of the ones in stores exceeded 455 degrees. This flat iron made my hair so straight with one pass, max two! I mean bone straight! A must buy!!!! Lowest setting is 160 out to 500 There is only a dial to turn the heat settings so you really don’t know the temperature you’re setting it to between those settings so use your best judgment. But outside of that, the flat iron worked great and has a rugged heavy duty appearance! Buy buy buy!!!!

So after my mall kiosk straightener broke I didn't have an extra $175 that I was able to buy another one and frankly I hate going to the mall a lot of the time. I hinted and hinted to the hubby I really wanted a new one because I hate spending large amounts (over $100 is large for me) on myself. So he bought my first one as a Christmas present! I was ecstatic that it was not only inexpensive, but amazingly like my old one. So fast forward and it disappeared from my bathroom and I was furious! So much husband surprised me with another one because of the cost! So so happy!

My hair takes a really long time to straighten. This is the fastest straightener I have used so far. I know they have a lot of new ones coming out, which i did buy one from the mall, but honestly I don't see any difference in damage or usefulness. I would stick to this one for the price difference, even after getting a great deal on the new one. If I had to buy another, I'd buy this one. I have curly/ wavy/ frizzy hair and this controls the frizzy amazingly. Works fast, heats VERY fast** (be careful not to burn whatever you put it on! I once left mine on on carpet on top of the bag it came in and dyed my carpet pink.. oops. I forgot it though so it was hours. Never had an issue doing it while using it.) My hair is dry and impossible to tame with most straighteners. I now mostly leave it curly to avoid damage but if I were to straighten it again, I use this straightener because I feel it does less damage than others due to only having to use it one time over each area of hair vs several with other brands. I don't recommend using it on wet hair though. It steams, burns your head, and kinda feels like it's frying your hair... plus makes it frizzy and causes you to go over it several times vs once if it's dry. If you do use it wet, shake it gently as you go over the part next to your head to avoid getting burnt.

My sister had this for a long time and I have been trying many brands, don't know why I even wasted my money. Should have gotten this from the start. This works great, I don't need to spend a lot of time straightening my hair. I like the temperature control but the only problem is that many of the other brands I got had a way to close this for ease of travel but this one does not.

15 years ago I was stopped by someone in the mall. They were selling these for a few hundred dollars. What sold me on it was how well it straightened my long thick hair without damage and a ton of frizz. A month or so ago, it started acting weird. Sometimes it would heat up and other days not so much. Decided to see if it was sold here on Amazon and was happy to see how cheap it is! Don't let the price fool you!! The ceramic in this straightener for ceramic "plated" metal in other brands is what makes all the difference! Can curl your hair with this also. Sorry that I don't have pictures but this is a steal for what you're getting!

After a 14hr flight I looked a hot mess. This cute pink flat iron worked well. I was nervous that it wouldn’t work in Portugal but, I used the adapter plug and plugged this right in. My hair was smooth and manageable within 20 minutes. I used it during my trip and since I’ve been back. I don’t even hear it to the highest setting as I have fine hair. Finally, I can travel and maintain my hair. I only did touch up’s when needed.

I bought this flat iron for the 100% ceramic plates. I am impressed. It made my hair like silk. The only thing I don't like is the temperature dial. It's nearly impossible to determine what the actual temperature is unless it's on the lowest or highest setting. And this thing goes to 500 degrees fahrenheit. No natural strands need heat that high. Next, it's the same as my 1 inch irons so I don't think the size is right. Not a big deal unless you're purchasing for the 1.25 inch size. Beyond that, you can't beat this flat iron for the price.
