I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality of the 6.5” Herdio outdoor speakers. This is coming from someone that designs and installs home theaters/indoor/outdoor speakers, etc. Initially I was hesitant to buy them because I have never heard of Herdio before. I was working on a budget friendly project and needed a good sounding outdoor speaker. Herdio met all of my needs. I would recommend these speakers to my customers as well.

Not a good buy, 2 speakers have no sound at all and once crackles while playing music. Baught these to go with my upgraded patio area and let down by malfunctioning speakers.

The media could not be loaded. Update: I noticed there were a couple of negative reviews for these speakers. The negative reviews are from people who didn't read the description, look at the pictures, or seem to know much about speakers. They ordered these speakers because they saw 800w in the title. The negative reviews were from people who thought this was a 4x800w (3,200w) set. This is not a 3,200w set. This is an 800w set. The pictures show the speakers label that states 200w each speaker. The description also states this set is 4x200w. If you didn't catch it online in pics or the description, each speaker states 200w on the back. One of the reviewers still blew his speakers. He shouldn't touch audio equipment. He should pay a professional. Anyone who thought these little budget speakers would be as powerful as DJ equipment shouldn't be touching any kind of equipment. I'm very curious what kind of amp he connected them to in order to blow them. Does he have professional DJ equipment or something? Maybe he blew them because the amps impedance wasn't made for the speakers? Not only is it crazy to think these would be 800w a piece, but they are 6 ohms and 89db. This would suggest that the speakers wattage is on the lower side. That's why I am able to power them with a small battery and solar panel when I'm not using them for surround sound. The 200w sounds like a lot of power for these speakers, nevermind 800w. Even my very expensive Bose 101 outdoor speakers were only 60w RMS. Nevermind a cheap non name brand speaker. I'm assuming these are closer to 75w, maybe 100w Rms. I have them powered to my 200w (4x50w) boat stereo, and they are still working and sounding great for movie nights. Original review: I was originally looking at a smaller set of 3.5" outdoor Herdio speakers. They have good reviews at a great price. I didn't want to spend what I spent on my old pair of Bose. I came across these 6.5" and decided to give them a try. I got a 4 pack. They were packaged nicely. I do outdoor movie nights on a projector. I was using a PA speaker, but I wanted a portable, outdoor surround sound system. I got these speakers, a subwoofer, a boat stereo, 2 x 12v batteries, a charge controller, and a solar panel. All I'm waiting on now is for the rolling toolbox to arrive so I can officially install everything. I did hook everything up. It worked and sounded great. When I'm not using them for movie nights, I use one as a portable Bluetooth speaker. I have a small bluetooth adapter with a battery and solar panel I hook up to it. The speakers sound great. They are built solid. They are a little big for my portable setup, but I'll be transporting them in a rolling toolbox. These speakers have multiple mounting options. My build will be finished soon, and I will try to update this review. Until then, I made a video using my bluetooth adapter so you can see and hear it. This is a small, low powered adapter. It sounds much better when hooked up to a higher powered stereo. The highs and mids sound good. I think I said in my video that the highs weren't great, but that was a mistake. It sounds even better with a subwoofer. They are built well, sound good, and can withstand the outdoors. What more could I ask for? These speakers are great, especially for the price.

I ordered these so I can put on the outside of my patio where I have my swim spa. The spot itself has built in speakers, but they are horrible. I wanted to upgrade the area with these outdoor speakers and a small Bluetooth receiver so I could just stream my music. These exceeded my expectations for sound in our amazing quality. They sound great with all types of music. I would highly recommend these.

I like these speakers from herdio they are passive, so do not come with an active power supply. They are attached to my home system. I kind of wish they were part of a 5.1 package, for full sound and for outdoor movies in the backyard. However, the sound is full and rich overall with decent bass. Installation is quick and straightforward, unless you have to run speaker wire either hidden or not. They are a standard two pole connection with screwdown nut and a bracket for wall installation. If you are looking for outdoor rated speakers this is a good option at a fair price ($162 day of review).
