- 3" MATCHES: Optional add on 3" white tip safety matches, bundle of 50 or two bundles of 50 = 100 Also works with strike anywhere matches. Those are getting harder to find so we added a striker sticker so any match can be used. Strike on box matches must be lit by striking on the striker sticker. They will not light on the side of the striker.

The media could not be loaded. I love this match holder. It looks like something you would find on Anthropology. As you can tell from the bottom, I use this sucker all the time. The striker is on the bottom and I think it came with a spare. It’s just like a sticker to peel and stick on. I purchased the long matches because I like the way they look better than the short ones. Great little functional piece of pottery that was the perfect addition to the floating shelves I built for the water closet in my master bathroom. Comes with a starter set of strike anywhere matches. I agree with above review that it is best to strike the matches in the bottom of the pot to avoid color transfer on the visible surfaces of the pot. The seller was fantastic, when I reached out to her about a shipping issue (the postal carrier's mistake as it turned out) she was quick to reply and offer solutions. It is a small piece, so don't be surprised by that, but it's meant to hold matches, how big could it possibly be? It came packaged in a cute little cloth bag that would be suitable for gifting and the matches even came in a little glass jar that can be reused. Super pleased.

I read through reviews on different match strikers before purchasing and settled with this one since a lot of other ones seemed like they weren’t letting the matches catch a strike. The matches were easy to strike on surface of this little vase and lit up right away. I strike the match at the bottom, but you can strike anywhere along the surface for striking. I wasn’t expecting to get a set of matches with the order so that was a nice extra. It does take “strike anywhere” matches and regular matches won’t work, but those matches are easy and inexpensive to find on Amazon for when you need a resupply. I had an issue with the shipping and the seller was diligent and quick to reply to my messages to make sure my package was delivered.

This was recommended by an influencer and she was RIGHT. It's in my powder room next to my fabulous Santorini candle and it makes me very, very happy every time I gaze it while sitting on my toilet. I gifted them to my girlfriends who traveled with me to Greece. Super hit gift.

Beautifully made. Quite small, but that was stated. I purchased it because the striker on the side of a large box of “strike anywhere” matches usually wears out long before the box is empty. When I first got this striker at the end of the summer, it only worked on the glass sealed little jar of matches that came with it, not the matches in my box with the worn out striker patch. Now that the weather is more cold and dry it also is usually an effective striker for the matches for which it was purchased. If you want to leave it out as a decorative piece ( as it is quite lovely), just use the bottom part to strike, as the matches do leave streaks when struck. As a whole, I recommend this little striker- just have your matches sealed in glass or plastic, because ANY measure of moisture or humidity and it won’t work at all.

I looove this little holder. I use it all the time and the design makes me so happy. NOTE: If you're having any trouble lighting, it may just be the matches! Make sure they're "Strike Anywhere" and not Strike on Box. Also, after I ran out of the matches provided, I bought a fresh box and for some reason the white tips on the matches were larger than the ones that came with the product, and the new matches strike so easily. Like buttah.

Though this is a very pretty piece of stylish pottery, and an excellent presentation, the matches won’t stay lit, or won’t light at all. Roughly 1 in 3 matches will fully light without just smoking and going out. Yes, we know how to light matches and we’ve tried everything to help these along. Great quality pottery, poor quality matches and not a great value since we’re “burning” through matches so quickly.
