  • Work Great
Style: AA 2600mWh 4pack
Nice rechargeable batteries. Plug into USB port and charge 4 batteries at one time

  • Good for video game consoles
Style: AA 2600mWh 4pack
I use these in a vintage handheld where 1.2 V NiMH batteries don't work. They seem to work great, last a long time too.

  • Best Buy By Far
Style: AA 2600mWh 4pack
The media could not be loaded. I have had these batteries for over a year now and they have truly exceeded my expectations. They have the power and hold a charge far better than I expected. I use them in my Nikon camera to make wildlife videos. In the past I had to use the highest quality batteries available and still got only one hour or less from brand new ones before throwing them out. With these I get several hours on a single charge and can reload a new set while the others recharge. That makes them well worth the slightly higher price. When (if) these wear out I will buy them again! ... show more

  • Useful for some applications
Style: AA 2600mWh 4pack
These evidently use the same technology as the battery power banks used for recharging cell phones -- a 3.7 volt lithium-ion cell with a DC-DC voltage converter -- just set to 1.5 volts output instead of the 5 volts for USB devices (and buck rather than boost converter). The converter consumes some power even when there's no load on the battery so it turns off unless a load is detected. It only takes a very tiny amount of current to turn it on and it stays on for some time after the load is removed. The output is a very stable voltage very close to 1.5 volts until the battery is completely discharged at which time it instantly drops to zero. This can be an advantage in devices that are sensitive to battery voltage but a disadvantage in devices like flashlights that you don't want to abruptly quit without warning. Because the majority of energy in an alkaline cell is delivered at a voltage between 1.2 and about 0.9, any properly designed device designed for alkaline cells should be able to use NiMH cells and function properly down to at least 1.0 volt per cell. Fortunately, most devices do. The only one I've got that quits working between 1.5 and 1.2 volts per cell is an outdoor thermometer module, and a drone controller gives a low battery warning in that range. It turns out that these batteries aren't very suitable for either application. I doubt that the converter is very efficient at the tiny current consumed by the thermometer. And since the voltage of these batteries stays at a constant voltage until abruptly dropping to zero when discharged, I'd get no warning of a low battery with the controller. But there are other applications where these will be very useful. When I travel or camp I have some devices like a headlamp which use one or more AA cells, and with these I won't need to bring spare batteries or a separate AA cell charger. I can conveniently recharge them with the USB chargers or power banks I always have along. (But I'll have to tolerate a headlamp or flashlight going dark instantly, or make sure I never let the batteries completely discharge.) How about capacity? I measured one sample at a constant current discharge of 250mA and 1A. At 250mA, the battery delivered 1.77Ah (2.70Wh at 1.53V). This is competitive with an NiMH cell. At 1A such as you might need for a flashlight, it delivered 1.62Ah (2.45Wh at 1.51V). And while they're probably not intended to deliver 2A for any length of time, I got 1.31Ah (1.83Wh at 1.49V) and no sign of excessive heating when discharging at that rate. So these will be good for general purpose uses where USB charging is convenient. I knocked off one star because one of the four ports of the charge adapter was DOA which gives me reservations about the quality control. ... show more

  • New set sent immediately after posting review - amazing
Style: AA 2600mWh 4pack
Worked great at first for the first 3 charges, but then one battery failed to hold its charge after only a few days of use. The other 3 are all still nearly full. This happened just a few weeks after the 30 day Amazon return window, and don't see any seller contact info. Very disappointed. ***"" UPDATE: Within 2 days of reading this review we had been sent a brand new set of batteries. Amazing customer service. Upgrading to 5 stars - hopefully all 4 of the batteries in this new set perform well, otherwise I'll update again :-) ... show more

  • Got hot, melted the little white part on the top button
Style: AA 2600mWh 4pack
Bought May 2023, charged and installed in my outdoor blink cameras in June. One outdoor camera is still working on the same battery charge, the second is triggered more often and I had to change the batteries last week. I went to charge the batteries using the supplied cord, the next morning the cabinet I charged items in was warm inside. The MAINS to USB charger itself was HOT (typical wall wart for charging), and the battery was HOT! I immediately unplugged and let cool down. Beware when you charge these. I tried to get assistance from the seller to see about a replacement, however Amazon did not allow me to get assistance for this product beyond boiler items, no returns available. ... show more
