I bought these two paring knives because I wanted something comfortable for my arthritic hands. These were inexpensive have large shaped handles, and are exactly what I wanted. They have a substantial weight, so feels good to hold while cutting. The blades arrived not particularly sharp. However I generally sharpen every knife I use when I take it out of the drawer anyway. These sharpen up beautifully with my little simple rotary sharpener. And they cut vegetables, tomatoes, whatever I want beautifully. I'm glad I bought them. These knives are solid, well made and balanced. However, the edge isn’t as sharp as expected. Neither knife sliced effortlessly through a tomato. Once the cut was started, the follow through was fine but these are not razor sharp knives. For the price, they’re a decent deal.
