Great starter (or even forever) knife. Sharp. Quality steel. Forged. Look great! GREAT VALUE from a well known and trusted maker of knives. Don’t waste money on a matching block set of knives. You only need 3 or 4 knives for most, if not all of your needs…a chef’s knife or Santoku in your preferred size, a paring knife and a serrated bread knife (6” or 10”), and possibly a boning knife. That’s it. I think this line of knives from Zwilling’s Henkel’s is a great value for those just starting out. I often give these knives as a gift to friends that I felt needed a couple of better knives in their culinary arsenal. When they experience the joy of using sharp knives, it may open up their appreciation for good tools and learn to take care of them.
