I bought this jacket in anticipation of an upcoming week long sailing voyage. I liked that it appeared to have all the features necessary, was lightweight, and water resistant, as well as cute and figure flattering. I tried it on immediately when it arrived and was delighted with the overall fit and how great it looks. I'm 5' 0" and weigh 97 lbs and ordered a size XS. The only fit issue was the sleeve length, but I can tighten the cuffs with the Velcro cuff straps, so it's fine. It's not super tight, so it's perfect for layering. I grabbed the jacket as I was leaving to run errands this morning, and had an impromptu opportunity to test the jacket's water resistance when I got caught in a rain shower. I was surprised at how well the jacket kept me dry and then how quickly it dried. I was inside an overly air conditioned store in which I normally freeze, and the jacket kept me comfortably warm. I didn't expect this jacket to be breathable or comfortable in the Florida heat and high humidity following the rain storm, and was very pleasantly surprised that I didn't get overheated. I only had to unzip it, and it was perfectly comfortable. I had left my car to get new tires installed, so the amount of walking I did was significant, and I was carrying bags containing the purchases I'd made in several stores. I wore my new jacket the entire time and now feel very confident that I made an excellent decision in purchasing it to perform in the varying conditions we'll face while sailing. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an excellent sailing jacket that can stand up to diverse weather conditions. Plus, it makes a great everyday jacket to wear, and it's cute to boot! UPDATE: Best thing I bought in preparation for our sailing trip. Kept my torso warm and dry even when the rest of me was soaked and shivering from backing up into 4 foot seas (just don't!), trying to avoid running aground in the harbor. Size: X-Large Color: 992 Black
I had to size up twice because I have D boobs and this jacket runs tight in the chest. Normally wear a medium or large....sized to an xl and that fit my chest perfectly. This is a high quality jacket perfect for sailing or the fall time. Love the fleece around the neck. I'll be wearing this often!
