This telescope is great for beginners! Got this to use with my 7 year old son. It’s lightweight, easy to setup and works great to view the moon. We have found Venus and Mars but the magnification is not strong enough to see any detail. I’m also impressed at the moon filter lens which helps you see more contrast and detail on a full moon. Super cool! Clear image and fun activity to do together as a family. The telescope easily breaks down to carry it with you on a trip. Highly recommend for a starter telescope!
