Bought the 4 pack. All connected to Alexa in less than 5 minutes. You can voice command to turn on and off, change colors and brightness. To all those who say can't connect: You MUST download the SMART LIFE app, and create username. Then you MUST seek the skill on Alexa app to get it enabled with SMART LIFE. Open Alexa menu app, go to "Skills & Games". Search for "SMART LIFE" and Launch it. Will ask you for your new Smart Life username and password. Then you need connect the new light to your SMART LIFE app. Really easy to do it. Turn on and off light until blinks. Then go to SMART LIFE app, and click on "+" (add device), and select on the "LIGHTING" group the "LIGHT SOURCE (WI FI)" option. Select your Wi FI network, type password and wait. If the Smart Life app says your phone is connected to a 5 GHz Wi-Fi and must change to a 2.4 GHz, but you know for sure your router has both (5 and 2.4 GHz), DO NOT click on "Switch Wi-Fi". Just click on "carry on" and keep going. App will ask you to confirm if your new light is blinking. Click on "Confirm...". Then will ask you how is the light blinking: Slow (Like once per second) or fast (like twice per second). If it is blinking slow, it will make you connect to the light network itself. If it blinks fast, it will make you connect to your Wi-Fi. It will work fine both ways. Once is connected to SMART LIFE app you'll see the light stops blinking and Alexa app will notify you there's anew device detected. Now you can create a name for this light on the Smart Life app. Then just need to click on the Alexa app notification, and Alexa app will open and show you the new device, name and features already installed.     • You can't beat these bulbs for the price
I have a hue lighting system but needed some inexpensive but colored bulbs to use in an area of my home that I didn't need tied into the hue system. I wanted something google assistant compatible and these things couldn't be easier to set up and be controlled by voice through google assistant or Alexa (I have both). They don't have the dynamic range of colors that the Hue bulbs have but they are still good and about $60 less per bulb they are a value proposition you can't pass up. They are controlled through an app that can be seemlessly tied in with your google ecosystem so they can operate on assistant alongside your Hue or other bulbs. I am thoroughly impressed for a $5 bulb white/color. You won't be disappointed. Just don't expect a trillion color gradients our of these. Your'll get plenty of color though. ... show more

I bought a set to start with just to see how they would work out & if I would even like them….Well long story short I absolutely love these lights!! The installation part is NOT that hard at all you literally download the app & screw the bulb in wherever you want it flip your light switch off & on about 4 x’s ..it should start blinking then follow the instructions on the app! That’s it easy breezy! My kids love these as well because you can change the color & of course they can tell Alexa to cut the light off plus set a timer or schedule for it to go off or come on. I actually have ordered now 4 boxes total now..ordered another after my first one & now currently waiting on the last 2 boxes I just ordered to get here & then every room in my house will have one of these bulbs in it! Brightness is GREAT, EASY TO USE & A GREAT VALUE!! If I had more rooms I would but even more! ... show more

I have a lot of led bulbs in my house that currently work on the SMARTLIFE app and I am not new at setting these up ... I got a box of 4 of these bulbs ... 2 of them set up and and work fine .... the other 2 are having major issues with connecting to bluetooth and the alexa app is about useless with a NON RESPONSIVE message on the app .... At best 2 of these bulbs nearly completely useless , save your money and buy a different brand ! ... show more

I love these bulbs. I was a little disappointed 1st because I didn't realize you need 2.4 instead of 5 GHz and mine can't be changed but luckily we have a older phone laying around that worked perfect for set up. Once it's set up you can use the smart life App on any phone so long as you're logged in. These bulbs so work with Alexa and Google which makes them super convenient for controlling with your voice. Brighter then any incandescent light bulb. I’ve noticed a lot of money saved on my electric bill using these bulbs along with my other smart devices. Love how you can make it look like an everyday lamp color or have it a certain color. I like to make it pink or purple at night and is soft on the eyes. I recommend using this with an echo or the Alexa app as it has the fastest response time to turn on or off. With google nest mini there were errors or saying it was glitching. ... show more
