Description

Continuing with the Hell's Forge tradition, we are now pleased to announce our Hellcote 3000 refractory cement. This is our own proprietary blend that we encourage our customers to use on all of their Hell's Forge Propane Forge units. No heat is required to cure. Coat any of our Hell's Forge Propane Burner units and have some to spare with this 5 lb container. Exceptionally strong which is necessary to withstand such close proximity with direct flames of a forge. Adds structural strength to your fiber blanket. Enjoy superior adhesion and smooth workability. Apply using a paintbrush or rubber-gloved hands. Our customers love our Hellcote 3000 and have asked us to sell it directly which is the reason we decided to list it on Amazon. We truly appreciate your loyalty to our small, family-owned business.

  • easy to use, works great
The package wasn't great but the product was fantastic. followed directions and mixed and it painted on. went back over about hour later for second coat on all my insulation let it cure for the weekend then fired it up for a few mins there was some popping from moisture I am sure but there was not many cracks , what cracks showed were not deep. I dont have a Hells forge I have a Simmons and it worked great on it. Hindsight I should have gotten the Hells forge to start with. This product Worked for what I needed versus the kind offered by the makers of my forge. ... show more

  • This stuff works great
Product itself is top notch. Shipping took a while, and after several weeks I contacted the seller and they stated they were out of some ingredients to make this. Hopefully next time I'll get it sooner but wasn't in a rush to begin with. Good stuff will buy again.

  • Don’t expect instructions
The product worked well enough. My problem is it showed up in a ziplock bag. No instructions. No note. Nothing. And there was a hole in the bag. If I had realized it was a dude in his yard mixing up a batch and throwing it in single ziplock bags, I probably would have brought a different one. For the price I’d expect, at a minimum, a cheap plastic container. Because let’s face it, no one calls a plastic bag a container. ... show more

  • Stronger and More Durable Coating Than I Received From the Original Furnace Manufactor
Howdy Y'all, I used this coating for my Devil Forge - FB2Mb furnace, This coating was easier to mix, spread easier and dried stronger than the original heat refractory coating I got. If you're buying this to replace or a redo a furnace coating - then I advise you get more than you think you need. 5lbs of this coating was enough to fully coat my furnace with a thick coating. Everything would have been perfect except the f*&*ing rain got to the lid of my furnace. The inside of the furnace luckily stayed dry and is solid. It's really strong and adhered to the ceramic fiber blanket really well. MAKE SURE when you use this coating on a ceramic fiber blanket - LIGHTLY SPRAY WATER ON THE BLANKET - BEFORE application. I recommend you mix the coating for at least 8 - 12 minutes - so the coating is evenly mixed with no remaining air bubbles. When you've got the right consistency of mix to water; it will resemble pancake batter or slightly wetter than pancake batter. Good luck everyone : ) ... show more

  • Let cure right.
Works great only fired up a few times. Got some cracking bigger then what they said I would but might be cause of the operator.

  • Excellent
Mixed in a bucket and spread by hand. I let it set a little and smoothed everything down with a wet hand. Fired it up for the first time and held up great and did the job! I used 4 bags for my forge. Larger than a standard propane tank
