This set has lasted me for YEARS! Very durable and some pans are still like new. Only thing I wish I could have done differently is not to use the steel sponge to clean it, it scratched it and the surface isn't smooth now. Still work tho.

I ordered a Warehouse Deals version of this set, which indicated there was cosmetic damage to the packaging. When the box arrived, I could there was a problem because it made a lot of noise. Upon opening, I found that two out of six of the glass lids were completely shattered. Glass was everywhere in the box. Apparently, whoever repackaged the item for resale skipped some of the foam protectors for the lids, causing significant damage in the process of shipping and handling. That said, I'm not returning the set. I think I have some lids of my own around here to replace the smashed ones, and frankly I didn't want to go through the hassle of shipping the box back, even if it's covered under the defective items policy. The rest of the set is quite nice, considering the price. I would have liked if there was an extra small frying pan in the set, but all told it's nice to have a set of cookware that will allow me to use my induction cooktop, thus saving some money on natural gas in my house. These are not non-stick pans, so if you're cooking in them be sure to use cooking spray or grease them somehow. The lids are nice (the ones that survived, anyway) and the pots all have handles on both sides like a stewpot, rather than one long handle like most saucepans. They feel pretty solid and well-made, and work well on my induction surface. I'm docking a point for the broken lids, but this still does what I need and so I'll be happy to give it 4 stars. ... show more

    • These work great on my induction stovetop, and also on the wood stove!
I was sad to have to replace my original stainless steel pots and pans when I got the induction rangetop and took a chance on this set as a replacement, not sure if I would like it. No worries, this set is great. In some ways I like this set it even better - the hollow lid and pot handles stay cooler than the solid ones on my original set when using them over the wood stove. (The handles stay completely cool on the induction range.) The bottoms are very dense and heat well. The pots with the short handles nest and work well as double boilers for melting butter - especially important when you're cooking over wood and can't regulate the heat easily. The pots share lids, which is convenient - three sizes of lid among all six pots, which makes grabbing the right size easier. The shallow, wide shape of the pots ensures a good amount of surface area for either heat source to work with, and makes it easier to reach the food for stirring. They clean up well after soaking with a plastic pot scrubber, and Dr. Bronner's soap. Win, win, win. My only question is kind of silly - on the bottom of the pots they show symbols for all of the cooking methods they accommodate. What the heck is halogen??? LOL ... show more

    • Soup pot works well but everything else warped.
Soup pot worked and holds up well however the other pans/pots all warp. These are NOT non stick. They are cheap because they are CHEAP!

This set comes with all the pictured items, nested with packing paper between each pot in one box. GENERAL APPEARANCE ... of this set is good. They ARE INDUCTANCE STOVE COMPATIBLE, are a medium quality of stainless steel, clean up well and are ready for the next cooking experience. The handles are hollow or bent metal. If you want cast handles, you might look at another brand. For the most part I have had no issues with the handles that they are manufactured with. THE LAST WORD ... I purchased this set for the Stainless steel construction, the glass lids and the abilty to use an induction stove for my heat source. This set met all that. The construction is good. If you want better construction, prepare yourself to pay over 100-200 dollars for the set. The construction on this set is good and will serve you well over time. The handles are rivited, not screwed, the glass covers have sealed metal bands and vent holes. Overall I felt the quality for what I paid was a good transaction. I would recommend this cookware set.
