    • The best freeze dried mashed potatoes on the market...
First and foremost, these are not imitation potatoes! They merely went through the freeze dried process, thus making them powdered after extracting all the moisture from real potatoes. The preparation couldn't be easier, as long as you follow them precisely. If you add too much water and milk and butter, you will liquefy your potatoes. One of the benefits of powdered potatoes is there are never any lumps. I don't know about you, but I hate lumpy mashed potatoes! These potatoes are absolutely delicious, once prepared of course. I tried dipping my finger in the powder; can you say gross? I bet you can! :-) Just remember, if you intend to add additional butter and/or gravy, reduce the amount of water it calls for, or you will end up with a soupy mess. My 30 year old handicapped grandson eats all flavors of instant potatoes. He can only eat puréed food so these fill in at places and restaurants that don’t have menu items he can eat. The family keeps them at all times. I’m sure he holds the instant potato eating record.

I was reluctant to try instant mashed potatoes but I was quite surprised how tasty these turned out when I added additional butter, cheese and sour cream. Each package makes enough for 2 or three people.

These mashed potatoes packets are very handy to have, and the taste is pretty good. Add a little salt, pepper & butter to taste, then top it with bacon bits, grated cheddar cheese, sliced green onions & sour cream…. And you have a plate of tasty “fully loaded” baked potato goodness!!!

    • Great mashed potatoes !
These are great ! I've never made these with butter or milk , I've only made these with water and they are great . I just microwave two and a half cups of water to a boil and add one package and stir and that's it and they are great . Fast and easy I highly recommend !
