I really don't understand the positive reviews for this product. While it is comfortable to hold, it does NOT work for shampooing my thick, wavy hair. It actually BREAKS MY HAIR at every attempt. It doesn't even reach my scalp, people! Like someone else said in previous reviews, I get a better job done using my fingers. I am super disappointed with this purchase. DISCLAIMER: Not a doctor, just a review based on my own experience using this product 3 times in one week and my own scalp/hair situation. Obviously I can't speak to any long term effects. I used it in the shower with shampoo. FEELING: Honestly, just okay. I don't know what people have been raving about. Kind of unpleasant and prickly feeling. I think it's too harsh, even with barely any pressure. You're better off having a wide tooth comb or wet brush you use in the shower if you like the sensation and use the flat of your fingers to massage. I recently bought a "wet brush shower detangler" that advertised "ultra soft intelliflex bristles" that feels Really good. DANDRUFF: I have a chronic flaky scalp. Didn't personally help my dandruff after 3 uses, it actually got worse. HAIR TEXTURE: I think my hair was softer after using this, but messier too. My hair is mostly 2b, high porosity. ✓HAND PROBLEMS: I WOULD RECOMMEND this style of product (silicone scalp massagers) to anyone who has pain in their arms, wrists, or hands to reduce the amount of energy you need to scrub your scalp (it's a bit of a workout just using your fingers). This product is definitely gentler on your fingers if you have any issues in your hands. But I'd go for a smaller rounder shape scalp scrubber, this shape was too big for me to hold comfortably. Look at product measurements before buying to see if it will fit your hand. And maybe look for one with large rounded tips that are decently spaced to better mimic your fingers and tangle your hair less. Haven't tried another others though so I don't know if I'm right that that style would be better. Worth looking into if you have the aforementioned problems. WATER TRAPPED: Water did get trapped inside after just a few uses which is unsanitary. I think in order to get the water out you'd have to actually break the product, which is less than desirable. ALL IN ALL: Just too rough on my scalp. Because my scalp was my main concern when I bought this product and it doesn't seem to be helping, I wouldn't consider it a success. I get better results just using my fingers. And a lot of hair came out and got tangled. If you do want to try this style of product because you have hand/finger problems, I'd look for something gentler with rounded tips and make sure the size will fit your hand. If your hands are fine, you're better off looking up how to properly wash your hair if you don't know. What works for me is to use the flat of my fingers to gently scrub the shampoo into my scalp rinse and repeat, then condition. Good luck! ... show more

I love these my wife not so much. She says I can just use my fingers. I think I get a much better shampoo with it than using my finger tips. I think my scalp feels invigorating after my shower. Oh well, I’ll just keep the second one in case I wear out the one I’m using. It seams it is sturdy enough that I really don’t think that will happen to someone over eighty. ... show more

Holy smokes HEETA! If you haven't bought one yet, DO IT! For men, women and children. I do not reccomend on babies though. I'm sure just about any brand will do but BOTH of these were less than $10 on Amazon PRIME. And get this, the handle is perfect for meaty man hands like mine (YUS! THIS IS EXCITING.) Or even for littler hands like my kiddos... So many benefits. I am in love with these scalp brushes. The reason for getting these were twofold- (1) I’ve lost a TON of my hair, likely about half, in the last few months. (2) Dandruff buildup and recurring problems. Just a little over a week after beginning to use them, and my hair loss has been cut in half in just that time. My dandruff has also been much lower in between washes. Some wonder if this tangles your hair worse- nope, not at all!! It’s soothing, and even with my wavy/curly hair it was easy to detangle as usual. Works great for kids’ hair/scalps as well- I used the other brush on my 3 kids 4yo and under, and their scalps have stayed very clean. My baby’s cradle cap has halfway disappeared after a single use. ***** totally recommend ... show more

These are amazing. I got them to help my younger daughter wash her own hair good (not just wipe the shampoo on and that's it) and I took the other one. Her bangs and roots are now actually clean when she washes her own hair and I love the other one so much! It feels way better than the rounded point ones you find at a lot of stores and it really gets deep to your scalp even with super thick hair. ... show more
