When my garden fountain pump failed I tried to find a similar one with a built in foam filter, as our water feature collects a lot of leaves, and we get a lot of algae growth. I usually had to clean out the filter at least twice a month during the summer, which wasn't pleasant due to the location and access to the pump. I couldn't find a similar pump but saw this filter bag to enclose a pump to keep out debris. It is fantastic. Keeps out the larger trash and as it has a very large surface area, even if it's half covered with leaf debris, there is plenty of open area that the pump doesn't starve for water at the inlet. I wish I had known about these earlier and they would have save me a lot of headache even with the old pump that had a suction filter. Simple and works so well. ... show more
