The frame feels very sturdy and stable, and once assembled it does not shake or make noise when someone moves on the top bunk. I bought it for my kids and they absolutely love it. They especially enjoy climbing up to the top bunk, and it has made their room feel more fun and spacious. Assembly was easier than I thought. The instructions were clear and all the parts were included, so it took about an hour to put everything together. The design is also simple and clean, so it matches well with the rest of the furniture in the room. Another thing I like is that it saves a lot of space. It was easy for me to set up by myself. 57-year-old female. It seems sturdy and suitable for my needs. If there was any con at all it would be that the steps /ladder even with the cushioned bars are hard on my old feet. And it is very difficult to make the bed on top simply because I'm having to sit on the bed as I am making it. But that is probably true for every bunk bed. So don't judge it upon that. I’m really disappointed in this. It’s extremely loud and squeaks when the kids get in or move at all so when one wakes up they are all up. It’s cheaply made and doesn’t seems very safe or sturdy. It’s was also one of the most difficult things to put together. Too expensive for what you get.

3.5 stars? Let’s separate the pros and cons. PROS: -the frame is technically longer than an XL twin or a queen, so it allows a bit of wiggle room for anyone whose a bit too tall when fully stretched out (like me). -nice design and it feels fairly sturdy. -not difficult to put together, easiest with two people (and a lot faster if you happen to have an Allen wrench tip for your screw gun). -affordable! -the height between the top of the Queen mattress and the bars of the xl twin is greater than any of the other bunks I found. My wife is able to sit up in bed with no problems and she has a taller torso than I do. -with no beds in it, it’s easy to move without any carpet sliders. My wife’s mattress is super heavy though so we will be getting some of those to make moving it easier when needed. CONS: -the frame arrived with a fair amount of surface scratching. I wish they would have wrapped each bar that would be facing out individually to avoid this. However it’s not enough for us to go through the hassle of exchanging it, but enough to make my wife a little sad it isnt in better shape. -there is a good amount of movement if two adults are sleeping in this. I sleep on top bunk and while I don’t fear the frame falling apart or anything, it does jostle the entire frame. I’m 6’3 and about 180 pounds. Thankfully my wife isnt a light sleeper. -if the top bunk occupant (me) is a light aleeper, and the bottom bunk occupant (my wife) is a toss-and-turner, you may run into issues…my wife tries to not move too much while I’m trying to fall asleep, so I haven’t had an issue YET, but I’m also not always aware if I wake up momentarily due to movement. -the instructions are fully visual. WHEN YOU ASSEMBLE THE LEFT AND RIGHT OUTTER SIDES (I.e., foot and head, which seem identical) pay attention to how the vertical crossbars sit. The side where everything is nice and flush? That’s actually the inside, not the outside. While reading the instructions, you’ll see that the two really big, curved bars say “1” and “2,” but this isnt referring to the sticker label…it’s referring to the engraved number on the lower inside of the bar. Pay attention to those or else you’ll have to unscrew almost everything like we did. ... show more

I got this for our guest room for when my nieces and nephews stay over, and it's been a huge hit. Just a heads up the box was pretty heavy to carry inside, so you might need a second person to help. Once we got it in, it took a bit of work to put together, but the quality is surprisingly good. It’s very sturdy and doesn't wobble at all when the kids are on it. Great and sturdy bunk bed for our boys that share a room. Takes up less space than their two twin floor beds. Does not make noise when you move around despite it being a metal frame. Amazing value for the money. My only complaint was that some pieces had large and deep chips in the paint.
