Bed is sturdy. Was easy to put together. We did have a bent bar and some scratches. My kids hit their feet on the middle bar so beware of that. Edges can be sharp. Bed is great other wise. Took about 2 hours to put together. Bed was bigger than I expected. The metal bars under each bed is not as close as they show in their pictures. The mattresses easily slide through the gaps. The bars can be felt through the mattresses as well which is a bit rough.
