These grips are great for the price and largely work very well. They’re comfortable and supportive around the wrists, and intuitive in their design. When it comes to grip, they present a trade off, because they are malleable fabric grips and not a harder, molded material: Pro: this requires you as the lifter to still do some of the grip work, which is beneficial if you care at all about strengthening your grip, forearms, punches, etc. Con: this can diminish some confidence in the grips doing the work of holding onto the weight so you can engage the lift with the muscles you’re trying to target (such as your lats during pendlay rows). You can still get solid isolation, but I suspect hard grips would work better for this than these fabric grips. Given that there’s a trade off, I might even recommend getting these AND a pair with hard, molded grips. Your experience may differ, do what suits you and your needs. For me, these are not totally perfect but certainly well worth the affordable price and the benefits they afford me in the gym. ... show more

Excellent product. Excellent idea with dowel. Better than hooks in my opinion because you can still grip the bar. I highly recommend this if you still want to grip bar. Also very comfortable.

These are a great product for the price. Initially (my own fault) I thought these were going to be stiffer material as opposed to the material that you have to manually wrap around the bar. However, after using these for a day, I can say I do still like them, even though they weren't what I had initially wanted to purchase. You do have to have some finger dexterity to wrap the strap around the bar but it's not too difficult to get into a rhythm to do it. I was able to lift heavier weight, and dead hang for a longer time with no issues. I have small wrists and they were able to fit great and snugly. The only thing I would want to see is a wider color range for women. Colors like teal, light blue, purple and pink are very popular for gear, and I struggled to find a color that matched that was not black. I went with the blue, which works well enough for my gear, but seeing more diverse colors would be great! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I really love them. Any time a do any kind of pulls, like back, or biceps, they’re on. I did have the straps resewed so they wouldn’t loss the insert. They don’t work for me without them. I am really happy with them. I would recommend them to anyone.

I purchased these straps after trying a different manufacturer of straps and hooks and found them to be much more user friendly. The dowel makes it easier to grab the end of the strap and secure it under the palm. I will use them for kayak racing (training) which has been hampered by arthritis in my hands. ... show more
