While this probably isn't the sturdiest tarp I've ever seen, it is working fantastic as a pool cover. Because of drought restrictions here in the southwest, I've found I can greatly reduce water evaporation, hence the amount of water I have to add over time by keeping the pool covered. Unfortunately the only pool cover I have is a clear solar heating cover which, in the +100 degree days here, was turning the pool into a hot tub and making it unswimable, so I ordered this UV blocking tarp to keep the water in, the bugs and dirt out and prevent the pool from heating further. After a few weeks, I've found this tarp floats on the surface nicely and has reduced water evaporation and dirt and bugs from entering. Despite the recent heat wave, with daytime temperatures in the 110 degree range, the pool is still cooling down from the mid 90's to the low 80's. It also fits the pool perfectly, so the measurements appear to be fairly accurate. ... show more
