this bed frame is absolutely to die for - very very sturdy! assembly was going along fine until we realized we were missing 4 screws & 4 nuts which were essential for completion............. we ended up going to home depot and purchasing what we needed - that was so disappointing and time consuming!

Manufacturing defect. This package has a manufacturing defect. The cup rests for the metal slats that go across are upside down and welded in place. There is no way to turn them right side up and have things work.

Sturdy, but squeaks when getting on and off the bed. Ideally we will put some plywood over the slats because the supports aren’t close enough together and the mattress sinks through ever so slightly.

Our wood split on our king size bed. I was able to glue the wood frame but was concerned about the strength. I bought this metal frame which fit inside my wood frame and we have a very sturdy frame that looks like my wood bed. No creaks or movement in this frame. This was assembled in 30mins by one person. We use a low profile box spring but because the slats are close I could have only used our mattress. We have been sleeping on this bed for 3 weeks and love it. ... show more

I don't enjoy writing a negative review on this item as it is well-designed, but the manufacturer dropped the ball when it came to producing a quality product. As you can see in the photos, in the screw hole in two separate areas is a tiny fragment of metal which disallows screwing the bolt where it is designed. I tried a power drill to knock off the uneven pieces, or to smooth them enough to get the bolts through, to no avail. You can see the bolts jutting out in the "finished" pictures; these are not securing the frame pieces to the other frame pieces. It's amazing how two miniature pieces of metal can disrupt assembly. I'm getting a small file now to try and smooth out the metal. Steel, maybe. I was given the option to return this for exchange or refund, but I had no desire to disassemble the thing, put the pieces into a box, and lug around the heavy box for UPS to take. ... show more
