Priced at $16, I got WAY more than I was expecting. When the amazon package came it was heavier than I expected. I knew the handles were in the package, I thought "what else did they stick in here? why is it this heavy?" I mean, it's less than 1lb, but it had more weight then I expected. I opened the amazon package, and it was just the Tribe handles. I thought "wow okay, these seem much better than I expected for $16". My frame of reference is handles and carabiners that came with my $4000 all-in-one trainer (cable machine). Not a cheap machine, but it came with cheap handles. I was pretty disappointed with the quality of the handles that came with that machine, which is why I wanted new ones...but these FAR exceeded my expectations and far exceeded the quality of my previous handles. Okay...they have some heft...what else is good? Straps: The straps are 1.5inches wide! (my other handles are 1/2 -3/4 inch). The straps are a good "seat belt/backpack strap" material. My other handles are cotton, that started to fuzz and fray in the first week of use. Handle: The handle is made of thick plastic, it has a nice circumference, not thin...not too thick...but probably a tad thicker than average and it feels really good in the hand. The rubberized/silicone grip feels good and has a good pattern. These are quality handles. D-ring: The D-ring...well it's a d-ring. It's good, it's not bad. it's avg., it's not cheap, it's painted. Nothing special about it really...But I'm not too sure how you can make a D-ring special...I do know you can have a cheap, thin, weak D-ring...I mean it can be bad...this one is good. But not crazy...just avg. good. Stitching: The stitching seems solid and straight, it's not double stitched, but the stitching is accurate and seems like it will last a long time. I don't see any fraying, I don't see any squiggly stitch lines. Again, its good, nothing crazy...average...not bad. Carabiner: Wow, they hit this one out of the park. This is not only the highest quality carabiner that I've seen included with a product, this is one of the highest quality gym carabiners I've ever seen, period. Like, how can I buy a pack of these by themselves? I want to replace all my carabiners with these. These are heavy, the spring is solid, there is no side to side give or wiggle. These are REALLY good carabiners...and they are just included with the handles?! These are NOT and afterthought. They are intentional, and they did it right. I've never heard of the Tribe brand before, but now I have. They've made an impression on me. When I look for gym accessories in the future, I'll check Tribe first. My opinion is you get MORE than what you pay for here, the value is high, the quality is high. They could charge more for these and it would still be totally worth it. Buy them...the only choice you have to make is do you want Black or the Tan color they sell?

Solid. These are solid. I’ve reviewed a number of these types of handles. Some felt scary as to whether they had the handle stability for the job. Or, the surface of the handle was dicey as to whether the grip surface would last a month. No doubts on these. I like the texture of the grips. There is no spongy feel. (I do like Kraton on knife handles, but too pricey for this.) And the straps have the feel of good quality also. For the sensitive to stink noses, like mine, these have zero smell! That’s pretty amazing to me! I’ve tried to attach some photos of measurement, but the parallax views mean I focus down and show the length from directly above the end. (Ya gotta trust me that the other end is lined up!) That is 7” inside the triangle of the handle. Given this is about my 4th handle review, IMHO this is only just under the best, those from Bodylastics, that cost around 25% more. A 5 star review for very good handles Tip: Know that these 3” carabiners have jaws that will only allow about 5/8” at the most inside to close. Grip handles for bands & cable machines Vine review. I use this as a row grip for a cable machine I made for my home squat rack. They are very strong. Easily handles 150lbs, which is the most I can pull. The handle rolls on the webbing with a small amount of friction. The handle is a little rubbery and has a knurl so it has some grip. When I squeeze the handles it leaves the indent of the knurl in my hands. They're sturdy and I anticipate them lasting for many years. They are not commercial gym quality, but they are in the mid-range for home gym equipment. Next step up would be Rep or Rogue, which is overkill for most people. These Tribe handles are in the sweet spot of value and quality for a consistent home gym user. Comes with two matte black carabiners to attach to other pieces in their system. I love that there is a system - a bunch of compatible and aesthetically matching parts. The handles are fairly long, which is a disadvantage to me. More handle means less cable, so less range of motion. They are also pretty thick. I wish they were a little smaller for me, a 5'3" woman, but they are probably suitable for an averaged sized man.

Really well made. I use these for our new service dog Vincent Priceless. I wish I had these for our previous dog who was 127lbs and was strong enough to pull a tank out of the mud. lol These have a nice rubber handles unlike the dog ones that are foam, these are more for grip as the foam ones, have slipped out of my hand when wearing gloves or when wet. I keep one in the van and Vincent carries the other in his admin pouch. Thanks!
