I ordered this heavy-duty YUNPEAK winch strap as a replacement for our boat after our previous one finally gave out. In my experience, these types of straps last a very long time. We had our original one for about 10 years, and despite years of wear and tear, plus sitting in hot storage for most of the year, it held up remarkably well. When it comes to strength and performance, this strap is built for serious heavy lifting. Our boat weighs 6,000 lbs, so the impressive 18,000 lbs breaking strength (and 6,000 lbs working load limit) gives us absolute confidence during launching and loading. The 2" x 20' polyester webbing feels extremely dense, durable, and well-made. In terms of safety and hardware, the metal hook is thick, heavy, and clearly designed to withstand intense weight and tension. The rust-resistant coating is a major plus for marine environments, and I especially love the spring-loaded safety lock on the hook. Having that extra layer of security to prevent accidental detachment gives great peace of mind when handling something like a boat in water or out. Overall, this winch strap delivers outstanding quality and value. It’s simple to install, exceptionally strong, and dependable. Great replacement polyester boat winch strap for medium and smaller boats

Amazon invited me to review this. The box, the listing, and my "feels like" says it is polyester, although the description says it is polyethylene and then down below it is labeled nylon. I'm going to call that 3 votes to 1 to 1 and elect it as polyester. This is now most common for winch straps because of its water resistance, less UV degradation, and lack of stretch under load. It has the softness of polyester and looks incredibly heavy duty all the way from the safety hook through the stitching in the loop to the thick, wide webbing itself. It claims a breaking strength of 18,000 lbs force and a working strength of 6000 lbs force, and that seems entirely reasonable looking at it. 20'/6m seems fairly long, but it actually is just long enough to get a small or mid-sized boat behind a trailer for loading. Any longer and you'll have excess on the winch, any shorter and it may limit your ability to load and unload without losing control of the boat. (From the winch back, the trailer is usually a bit shorter than the boat itself.)
