I use this in my garage during Wisconsin winters. It works very well. My cat goes outside for most of the day and he keeps hydrated by using this water. He drinks a lot, every day. I bought this for my barn cats and it works great. Our nightly temps have been well below zero and this keeps the water from icing up. The cats have heated beds in the barn, and now they don’t need to go outside to the dogs heated buckets in search of water. My only complaint is that the bowl is pretty small and doesn’t hold very much water. But, it works well.

We use these bowls for our chicken run! The only thing I’m upset about is that it took me so many winters to discover these! They are so much better than heating mats or any of the other methods I’ve tried during the previous winters.
