I have a totally mental ragdoll cat that is obsessed with water. She will drag litter into and overturn every water source making an absolute mess. I tried many water dispensing solutions and even ponied up for one of those expensive automatic dispensers, but nothing worked and she sabotaged everything. Enter this solid product. She has been drinking from it for a few weeks now and still hasn't found a way to mess it up and that counts as a resounding win in my book, considering what a psycho she is. The water surface is well covered and only a small water receptacle is exposed so the water stays largely clean. Very little splashing opportunities too. The overall design is very stable and so there is no chance of overturning. Thank you, manufacturer!

This is a great bowl and it has greatly reduced the messes my German Shepard used to make when drinking from a normal bowl. The dog got used to the bowl quickly and we never looked back. Fast forward 3 weeks and my dog started getting sick (from both ends). Took him to the vet and they werent 100% sure what was wrong with him but almost $400 later they sent me home with special GI food to hope that fixes him. The next day I noticed he wasn't drinking much water. And then it dawned on me that I had not cleaned his bowl since I first got it. With the floating cover, it is hard to see or smell anything that could be in the bowl, so I just never thought of anything being wrong with it. Long story short, this was completely my fault, not the bowls or the companies (as they tell you clearly in the ad to clean it periodically.) So this is mostly a PSA to get this bowl but also make sure you are a responsible dog owner and clean it very often!

Okay, so one of my senior dogs is now almost blind and I began to notice he was developing a fear of his water bowl. It was a large, deep bowl that was dark blue and when it became almost impossible to get him to drink, it finally occurred to me that he might be afraid of falling in because he could no longer see where the floor ended and the bowl began. At first, I tried wrapping a white towel around the outside of the bowl to help him see it…which was helpful…but he was still afraid. That’s when I searched on Amazon for a water bowl for blind dogs and THIS bowl popped up. Now, I know it’s not made specifically for blind dogs, but I realized that with water just coming out of a little hole on top, there would be nothing to be afraid of. It wasn’t a big, deep, scary, invisible bowl anymore. It was short, visible around the edges, and not any kind of deep or intimidating. So I bought it and switched. Now here’s what could be considered a bit of a con, though I’m sure not for every dog. My dog had no idea what this thing was or how it worked and therefore would not use it. I kept trying to show him but he was having none of it so I had to put another regular bowl beside it so he wouldn’t dehydrate and die. This went on for a few weeks until one day my dog had come in from outside thirsty when I had just picked up the regular bowl to clean it and refill it. When I came in to set it down, there he was…drinking like crazy out of this new bowl. After that day, I removed the regular bowl permanently and he loves his new bowl now. He has no fear at all and I know it’s brought back his confidence. This is a fabulous product though it may take some getting used to. Highly, highly recommend.

This water bowl has made an amazing difference for us. Our Labrador was the messiest drinker. Water was always splashing and dripping on the floor. Our dog would leave a trail on the floor of water after drinking. This bowl has a float that covers the surface of the water and allows the dog to drink from a small depression in the middle of the float. This keeps my dog from getting her entire muzzle in the water. No more wet floors for us!

Have a 8 month old retriever that thinks her water bowl is a splash pad. I have bought at least 5 different water bowls to stop the spills and water trail from her playing. My husband actually found this bowl.(I mean give credit where credit is due). My hopes were low but I was desperate. Well in two weeks I have had no puddles, water trials, and no wet paws! It’s easy to clean and stops all the mess water issues from a puppy! 100% recommend this water bowl!
