These socks are pretty amazing. I have reynaud's and am a snowboarder. My feet are cold almost immediately in the morning and nothing has been a consistent solution. Until these. They charge quickly, so I was skeptical that they would last all day. There are three levels, and the lowest is surprisingly plenty! With the low level of constant heat, nothing gets out of control, so the higher levels were never needed. It's easy to accidentally hit the button on the chair lift in particular, and they immediately get too hot! Never thought I'd say that. At the lowest (blue) level, they lasted the entire day - 8am to 4:30p and weren't completely depleted when I took them off after the mountain. The drawbacks would be: First, the ribbing is intense and the socks are tight (my calves are not particularly slim). I actually put a super thin base layer *under* the socks, to alleviate the digging into my skim from the ribbing - worked great. If I hadn't waited until the last minute on this trip, I might have tried a few different pairs, but that solution worked, and will also help around town at home, in which scenario I won't have them on for 8 hours, so the tightness will be less intense. Secondly, the button, once on, is very sensitive, so it was quite easy for it to be hit by mistake and cycle from low (blue) to red (high) without realizing it until my foot was burning up. That said, very easy to click it back, but had to pull up the hem of my pants to see the color of the light - a low effort, all things considered. These are serious game changers, and I'm so happy I took the chance on them. And they look really cool (got the black). Thanks very much!

I am returning these. They are not hot at all. I charged the batteries, hooked them to the socks and left them on for several minutes. I put my hands in them and did not feel any heat at all. Also, the add says that there are 3 temps and 3 different color lights to distinguish the different temperatures. The button did not light up at all. I tried it several times but no light up and no heat that was detectable on my fingers. Also, there is a rim that goes around the middle of foot to sew the heated front part of the sock on. It would be very uncomfortable to wear for me but I have problem feet. These had many good reviews and that is why I purchase these but they did not work for me. Maybe they are just a broken pair but if so, both socks are broken (which seems strange) and I would not be able to handle the large crease in the middle of the sock on my tender feet so not asking for an exchange. Return process was simple so if you want to try a pair and they don't work, no hassle refund.

The fabric is too thick to use in a ski boot. You should buy these before you buy your ski boots or they will crush your toes and it hurts the pads of your feet. These would be OK for snowboarding or hiking boots if you have enough space in the toe area of the boot.

Los uso para andar en bici en noches en que la temperatura es menor a 5°C. El resultado es perfecto, en el mínimo la batería rinde 12hs y es suficiente siempre y cuando al momento de salir no se tienen ya los pies fríos. Para calentar los pies frios es necesario utilizarlas al máximo por aprox media hora. Ya llevo dos años usándolas con una frecuencia de 10 veces por invierno aprox. La comodidad es la esperada teniendo en cuenta todo el material que llevan, pero se pedalea y se camina bien, como con cualquier media gruesa.

These socks, work great I would recommend them only I had to return my pair to get another one because of a simple flaw in the stitching that holds the battery in place and the battery keeps popping out I also have the heated gloves that work great When you’re living in the Northwoods you need this
